BZN, I am not bothered if our NSW Cup team runs around in black and white. I don't believe It is worth the upset that would result from changing the team to WTs. Note I always use WTs, not Tigers, as their is a difference. The logo on the WTs' jersey is also different to that of Balmain.

As a result of what has happened, I hope PVL has given thought as to whether the existing arrangement is the best entity to carry forward the NRL's strategic vision for the South-West growth area - Narrellan, Camden, Oran Park and the South West Airport metropolis. It is a jewel and has the potential to increase junior participation, both girls and boys, in RL and eventually the NRL. That is why imo it is so important to have independents on the board with successful business careers behind them. They have a lot to offer the NRL and WTs. With its $12m investment pa in WTs, I am sure this was one of PVL's motivations. I hope we get a great outcome from this drama.

When are you dude's going to realise and understand that HBG are entitled to have the no. of board members they have.
They own 90% of WT's and it doesn't matter how you spin it-it is what it is.

Whilst Dennis the Menace is still drawing breath and moves around within cooee of Concord or Ashfield, the Wests Tigers remain very vulnerable to his white -anting of the club.

Hey I've been a Magpies supporter since I was 4, some 54 years.....but for 25 of those years, I have fully supported the Wests Tigers through thick & thin, just like I did with the Magpies.

If I don't fall off the perch in the next few years, even a old fossil like me would end up having supported the Wests Tigers in the top league longer than the Magpies.

Maybe the board should show Dennis the same courtesy as they did to Rick Wayde & Co, sack him and bar him from any HBG owned premises. However, they should also, while they are at it bar him from the Zurich Centre, Campbelltown Stadium & Leichhardt Oval as well.

Sprinkle some Holy Water, burn some sage and toss garlic cloves around anywhere that bloke has imposed his ego driven presence on.

I actually suggested the opposite mate.

Suppose there is something to make HBG comfortable enough to step away to arm's length, such as enshrining the magpies as our primary state cup team, or the colour of our jersey. Then do it. It's dumb from a commercial and unity sense, but it's even worse to have this HBG debenture structure.

That's the things that someone like @BZN cares about. The Balmain folk wouldn't care if the state cup team is lost, but it seems to matter to people like HBG and some supporters.

There needs to be something to make HBG debenture holders open up for members voting. They're clinging on to this because they think it's the way to protect the magpies - By locking those things in, and a lifetime supply of blazers, maybe it's the way we can move on to greener pastures.

Maybe give them all peace trophies like FIFA gave to the US President? Play to their insecurities and ego.

When are you going to realise that people have had enough of you and your posting that is being done to purely antagonise people. I could have easily replied to a full probably 50 posts from you today alone, so don’t take the one I did as the one I am referring to, this is towards every single one of them which is especially now also filled with a very annoying trend of posting everything in bold so that it is more noticeable to everyone, and done purely to be seen and have only you be focused on more.

Every person you have attacked has explained their points reasonable reasonably and have the support of the majority. Everyone has the right to an opinion, but they also should be heard and not completed disregarded as you seem to do constantly. Further to this the vast majority of not all that you attack are made up of Wests Tigers fans, and only Wests Tigers fans, not Magpies, not Balmain, and even if they supported one in the past (even I did), unlike you they have moved on.

May I suggest that you first move on yourself with your views and actually be constructive on here, rather than trying your hardest to be destructive. And if you can’t, go and find another forum to sprout your opinions, because I think I can say it with confidence, it is not wanted here.

I've moved on but it seems that the Magpie side of JV have not (HBG) . It is what it is. Balmain were mismanaged and as a result ended up as minor party to JV (thanks o magpies bailing them out).

Sure...does the government own parliament house? Or ultimately, is it the people?

No one on HBG owns anything...it's not private ownership. The issue isn't about 90% owners getting a 90% say in how things are run, it's that they are unaccountable to the people that they draw money from to control those assets.

It would all go away if members could vote.

Yes, they are entitled @BZN . But is it good for our club? No. It's horrible. There's a difference between doing the right thing and being entitled to something.

So it depends what you care about to be honest. I want the best for the club, as do most here. Which is HBG at arms length while they still have the debenture holders structure in place. As the review recommended.

One is based in the South-west/Macarthur, the other in the inner west and surrounds. They need to remain for these age groups if the club is to continue to draw juniors from these areas.

I understand where you are coming from FP. My desire is to have one tem the Wests Tigers. The junior competitions in the different areas could continue with their teams being called the WT. The teams in inner west have Tiger emblem on the chest with Magpies on back of collar and sleeves. Teams playing in the Macarthur area having the Magpie on the chest and Tigers on back of collar and sleeves. This would do away with the confusion of different names and rivarily for the the players striving to play in NRL WT.

The bloke is a human wrecking ball.

Rick Wayde has done so much more for the clubs (Western Suburbs & Wests Tigers) than Dennis could in 10 lifetimes. I'll never forgive Dennis, Julie & Co for the way they treated Rick, a man with more integrity in his little toe than all the remaining bozos on the board put together.

Dennis been way more destructive than anyone sitting on a Western Suburbs board since the pre Bernasconi days, when mismanagement (financial and on field) saw the leagues first "Millionaires" become a rabble of "paupers"in a decade.

Dennis can't claim any credit for the clubs (Wests Tigers) financial turn around nor for the ongoing success of the "money printing monolith" of a growing vertically integrated enterprise that is Wests Ashfield & it's affiliate clubs and growing property portfolio.

I couldn't get sound or any other context on this video, but looking at it the headline, blaming a clubs relegation for the fire could easily have been "Fed up Wests Tigers fans finally lose their shit!".

Every time somebody brings up fact based arguments against our owners, HBG supporters just totally abandon the argument.

They haven’t delivered sustained success in their history as owners. Whether that’s financial or incompetence or both I don’t know but it’s a fact.

BTW I have changed my user name today because it had Balmain roots and I’ve had it up to here with this crap. We are WESTS TIGERS and we have been since the Sydney Olympics.

It’s high time everyone focuses on winning.
