HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

Wests Magpies board member
And HBG debenture holder I think based on previous posts

“ Burgess has achieved the same with his appointments of new debenture holders only a month or two ago with staunch Magpies Allan Fallah, Leo Epifania, and Bob Cairns. Along with Mick Liubinskas and Burgess himself, there are some hardcore Magpies within the HBG fold.”

The Holman Barnes Group are an astute set of administrators who should be lauded for their initiative. It was clear that Shane Richardson was doing things which were naughty, therefore he had to go. They got on top of it early and nipped it in the bud. Now we will be able to reap the rewards from their fine decision making.

The sooner you accept HBG into your lives, the sooner you will ascend to paradise. And if you don't, well I guess you're just not that cool. All the tough, strong, powerful people are telling me how great of on organisation the HBG are. They come to me with tears coming down their face, saying, "oh HBG, thank you for saving our club."

Only Dennis can #MakeWestsTigersGreatAgain

Wo,hoo

That's very wishful thinking.

Now if they appointed a 'good' Administrator, i.e. Shane Richardson or maybe Brian Canavan we could see something.

What I would suspect, is that other teams would argue to appoint our administrator. So:
A friend who needs a job

Someone who wouldn't grow the opposition.

Ian Schubert comes to mind as such a person. We would tank, tank hard.
After everything's said and done Vlandys really let us down atm. He's given control of the board to the guys who caused all the trouble to control the board. I seriously doubt if we ever have an administrator appointed by the N.R.L that they would appoint a dud after everyone's been dealing with the mergers boardroom garbage for 25 years.

Richo wasn't sacked, he resigned, so I would be really surprised to see him return.
HBG knew full well Richo wouldn't stay under a HBG run board. Richo said so him self sitting next to Julie Romero. If he felt HBG wernt going to follow through on the reviews finding of implementing the independant board members, he specifically stated he wouldn't have stuck around. HBG knew full well when they got rid of the board members Richo was gone as well. They knew exactly what they were doing and it was 100% intentional.

Yes. It was an ultimatum. Fix your governance or we'll fix it for you.

All this backflipping has been under the threat of force.
So, who is your source that told you that, and I'd like to know what context it was said in.
From what I have seen and heard the feeling wasn't nearly as bad as you are making out.

He did it because he wanted a single reserve grade side and they refused, so he stacked one of the sides. The "other side" would always have been justified to complain.

But Sheens was vindicated, we won the comp.
With 2 teams to choose players from, so he should have won the comp.
Do you think it was a good move on Sheens part to make the MAGPIES look like fools.
Then after that I can't imagine the Magpie board members agreeing for him to come back.

He decided it was better for team cohesion if all the reserve players were playing in the same team.

I noticed that.

Have become quite addicted to this discussion so I've read most of the pages on this topic and I've noticed it's dominated by that WestsTigers guy.

Also noticed abuse at not only alternative views but nuanced ones.
Don't let the d/h's on here intimidate you LT.
For a newby that's only been here such a short time, you're doing well.

The old “not his go” defence
Facts are facts, I’ve rarely ever seen him post anything that wasn’t taking the piss, let alone something like that, I knew he was a staunch Magpie. But you can be a staunch Magpie while also being behind the JV.

Good points but what it all concludes for me is this debenture system has to some degree a 3rd Reich smell to it.

Sorry if this offends anyone.
We're really into a heavy dose of theatrics with this post, mentioning the 3rd Reich.
Strange that you apologise for offending anyone.
You obviously put it in here because you knew it would be offensive.
But no, you didn't offend me as I am becoming used to seeing this style of post from you.

You're only new & I don't know what you're angle is etc. Take everything on face value.

weststigers is not a bad poster on here. I've spoken to him & he's a cool guy as far as I'm concerned. There are a few others on here that have started using similar styles in this 'emotive topic'.

Don't blame the posters for the way this place responds. It's been allowed to happen.

"emotive topic" is a shield to use to allow some aggression to be let out. If you can deal with the consistency of 'education' you are given on here, it's generally a good place to be.
Sorry to disagree with a top poster such as yourself, but I happen to think there is more trash than treasure on here.

And I reckon it's a real pity that it has been "allowed to happen".
