HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

The club didn't/doesn't want Richo back either.
From what I have heard-to much bad blood on both sides.
Richo had been a naughty boy.
He was actually our Messiah and your clowns crucified him.

They were so stupid and thought he was just a very naughty boy. (That just goes to show how those dinosaurs view progress and success, it just seems to be something that they cannot comprehend)

[ insert appropriate Monty Python clip here ]

Actually I'm just back from a wedding down the coast and I just could not be bothered at the moment.

Maybe Darcy can build a ruby league museum.
Don’t be silly he doesn’t spend any of his own money, he prefers to tell others how to spend their money.
Inner west council is putting $10m into Leichhardt at the request of our club. So your angle here is weak.

It takes many parties and many financiers for WT to thrive. HBG isnt even funding the NRL squad this year and youre acting like they're the only ones who do anything.

Ok sir, if you want to be technical I stand corrected. HBG doesn't own 90%, it controls 90% or at least should.
Wests Magpies own 90% of Wests Tigers so this should give them a controlling vote on the board when necessary and without being unfair.
I believe Wests Magpies value and care about their members and lots of people in the community through their generous donations.

I don't see any reason whatsoever for WESTS MAGPIES to yield control to anyone, at least until such time that we have a board that RESPECTS each other and things are running smoothly.

So, Imo you will never get WESTS MAGPIES to yield by using the tactics y'all have adopted.
Nice summary of your position

A magpies aligned HBG director today said rheyd been at war for the last 25 years
Yes, I would definitely believe that to.
It's been a real s/f.
NOW is the time to come together.
It's NOT the time for aggression against HBG, as with yesterday's [not] march.
If all the board can unite and become a solid team, I believe we can ALL get what we want~~a winning football team.
Continuing marches and calls for HBGOUT is just going to keep the tension bubbling amongst all board members.

Is war what you want with continuing bickering, or would you rather have ~PEACE~where we can ALL relax and enjoy the footy.

Problem is that the debenture system is unlikely to be dissolved, which is convenient.

Mate your mob started the war and this time where not going to sit back and wait for it to happen again, this has to be dealt with for the last time.

I can only see one way forward for the Wests Tigers & it must happen now!

HBG needs to convene a private forum which includes HBG, Wests Magpies, Balmain Tigers, the remaining independent directors, Shaun Mielekamp and importantly a representation of the fans/members of the club (a rep of WT Unite & maybe an additional 1-2 from the existing Fan Rep Group that the club already consults with - click here.

1 - Each party need to resolve & accept that the Wests Tigers is one club and the legacy of both Wests Magpies & Balmain Tigers must be respected. Each party must resolve to STOP any slander, media leaks etc pushing any historic agenda otherwise accept to face sanction.

2 - In this forum each party has the opportunity to present what its expectations are from their position (i.e. so the fan reps get to hear what HBG expectations are of its 90% stake etc & vice versa) and questions can be asked of each party.

If HBG are serious about a 'one club' future, they will do this. There needs to be an understanding & respect moving forward between all parties.

I'm sick and tired of all this sh*t as everyone is. The only way to stop it is to get all parties together in a respectful manner to thrash it out in the one room asap.

I've put in request to speak to Shaun Mielekamp and I'll be telling him this and I reckon he's the type of fan-focused CEO who would already be thinking of this himself.

@cochise @Joel Helmes keen to hear your thoughts on this given you're both on the Fan Rep Group & doing a great job with WT Unite?

PS. I wouldn't expect a resolution immediately at the end of the forum but a forum like this can result in an in-principle agreement to work towards in terms of governance & communication.

Its a bit hard to have peace when Magpies directors are telling WTs supporters to F off
Seems the Magpies dont want peace
Not very respectful is it?

Balmain brings the passion and intensity of a very loyal fan base, and will support through adverse times
As a consequence of numerus financial mismanagements by Balmain ,Wests Magpies happen to be the last man standing and feel they can rule the club..
but currently contribute about 10% of total revenue to WTs.....Nrl contributes the rest
So tail is wagging the dog IMO

To add...I think it's important to understand what exactly respecting the legacy of Balmain/Wests means in practical terms. This is a vaguery that is all too easy to point to and creates circular arguments as it means different things to different people.

Mate your mob started the war and this time where not going to sit back and wait for it to happen again, this has to be dealt with for the last time.
So, who is "my mob" and how did whoever it is start the war.
I suggest you should have a look at your position, and I feel you should reassess the tactics you seem to be following along with gladly.
If there's too much tension in the air caused by you blokes which would very likely lead to trouble on the board AGAIN, PVL may just step in and tell your mob to b/o.
Will you be happy with that on your mind forever.
I would hate to go to bed thinking 'what the hell did I do that for'.

Great idea very good idea 👍

Just wish the N.R.L did appoint an administrator and our 25 years of drama was over.
Wo,hoo

That's very wishful thinking.

Now if they appointed a 'good' Administrator, i.e. Shane Richardson or maybe Brian Canavan we could see something.

What I would suspect, is that other teams would argue to appoint our administrator. So:
A friend who needs a job

Someone who wouldn't grow the opposition.

Ian Schubert comes to mind as such a person. We would tank, tank hard.

Good post bwg 👍but I think you've got buckleys of anyone on the board reacting positively to a threat like "if HBG are serious about a one club future they will do this".
