HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

Let's not throw "they hired them" around as though HBG wanted richo or the directors. Their hand was forced.

Mielekamp is still only interim CEO.
And how do you know Mielekamp was not a result of PVL? Maybe they outlined their plans and he stopped them in their tracks?
Not entirely true that their hand was forced- they acted on a recommendation, but I think your point is fair.

I don't know that PVL wasn't responsible. But, that would be the first I've heard that from anywhere. Maybe we just uncovered a new message board truth to be run out? 😛 That said- seems unlikely that PVL influences the CEO hiring decision (unless it was- you must/must not have Richo) of any club, particularly of a former CEO of one of the other NRL clubs, unless Mestrov had been hideously bad & caused NRL reputational damage....but you're 100% right- I don't know for sure.

Richo signings of players like Andrews abd Bunty etc
with no hbg interference in December we could have been even better
I think you’ll find the Bunty signing was more down to Dennis B.
My mail is that Burgo & Afoa have been mates for years - both being active members of the Hair Today Gone Tomorrow Society.

Credit where credit’s due 👍

I just saw James Tedesco at Top Ryde shopping centre; had a chat about the match last night vs mitchell moses.

Even I have to acknowledge HBG leadership and their ability to retain two of the most talented players in the current game. They have really set a precedent on how the top nrl clubs should operate.

My mail from a very reliable source concerns a high ranking board member who in the past approached Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor via a contact in New York with a view to provide him with an honorary debentureship.. The concern at the time was that the board thought their image was, shall we say, a little plebeian.
The cost of adding a Wests Tigers logo onto his Coat of Arms was deemed excessive at the time. However he suggested his wife at the time might be interested as orange was her favourite colour.

No disrespect to Shaun as he has been in the the role for 2 seconds, but what exactly has he achieved?
Richardson comes with Richardson limitations.

From a fan/member perspective I was not interested at all to get a membership at will with shane in charge.

Richardson certainly would not do a podcast with you.

With Shaun in charge I'm getting close to membership again.

SHANE didn't have a working relationship with the owners Richardson was just a CEO not the king of England as he sees himself.

Not the weirdest thing I've read here. 😅

I saw Benji at a Korean place at Lidcombe last night. We had a chat about the turnaround in the team, and especially the respect the boys have in the jersey.
He said that HBG have set the precedent on turning the attitude of the team around, and the evidence is there for all to see. He said you'd have to be as thick as a brick if you were still harping on about something that is largely irrelevant now, instead of being excited at what you've just seen.
We looked around and quietly said thank God Ashfield still exists. We knew just how tender a topic that is in certain parts of Sydney.
Some nice Korean food in Lidcombe.

Richo had a killer instinct, He didnt take crap from anyone.

Another 2 years would have been incredible.

When the Tigers are winning, no one will care about the garbage that happened in December
. . . . You'd think so.
While only trials so far of course, there seems to be a whole bunch of the regulars that just won't let go. No matter what they see from the team.
Don't seem to care about the team, just put an irrelevant slipper into HBG.
Like, seriously . . . why th would anyone be concerned about what happened months ago that very apparently seems to have had absolutely zero effect on the team ?
I get that there are agendas and all, but let it go.
