HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

I just saw James Tedesco at Top Ryde shopping centre; had a chat about the match last night vs mitchell moses.

Even I have to acknowledge HBG leadership and their ability to retain two of the most talented players in the current game. They have really set a precedent on how the top nrl clubs should operate.
I saw Benji at a Korean place at Lidcombe last night. We had a chat about the turnaround in the team, and especially the respect the boys have in the jersey.
He said that HBG have set the precedent on turning the attitude of the team around, and the evidence is there for all to see. He said you'd have to be as thick as a brick if you were still harping on about something that is largely irrelevant now, instead of being excited at what you've just seen.
We looked around and quietly said thank God Ashfield still exists. We knew just how tender a topic that is in certain parts of Sydney.
Some nice Korean food in Lidcombe.

Richo had a killer instinct, He didnt take crap from anyone.

Another 2 years would have been incredible.

When the Tigers are winning, no one will care about the garbage that happened in December
. . . . You'd think so.
While only trials so far of course, there seems to be a whole bunch of the regulars that just won't let go. No matter what they see from the team.
Don't seem to care about the team, just put an irrelevant slipper into HBG.
Like, seriously . . . why th would anyone be concerned about what happened months ago that very apparently seems to have had absolutely zero effect on the team ?
I get that there are agendas and all, but let it go.

I Saw benji at a urinal in a Chinese restaurant in North Sydney in 2006 I didn't talk to him

Interesting that the new CEO is supposed to be keen on the potential of going to Las Vegas.

I imagine this is a financial decision. And the former CEO was openly critical in the media about this venture. Could that have been seen as taking away consultation with the financiers of the club? Taking an individual opinion & sharing it with the media?

Seems there might have been some interest from Wests Tigers after all.

Richo did that 3 times.

I spoke to Shaun about that when I interviewed him.
My enthusiasm for what Shaun can bring doesn't diminish what Richo has proven in the past.

I will say, from an outside opinion, Shaun appears to be more fan-friendly in his actions- not just in his short time at the Tigers, but certainly through his time at the Mariners.

My concern at the time of the changes was that the new CEO would be a poor choice. I'm excited to see that it appears he wasn't.

Not sure it’s a financial decision, the players were just super dirty they didn’t get to go this year
Apparently the CEO & a board member are on their way over to check it out for their own interests in 2027.

So it seems that the club did in fact have interest in the venture. I'm sure there are financial benefits to that exposure over there, plus- don't miss Round 1...

I'm actually very supportive of Shaun as CEO. I think he will do a good job.

Shaun stated categorically at the meeting I attended that we, as a club, are not interested in Vegas in the short term. Our stance was to be that we should be in the last iteration of Vegas to makeup for being shafteed with two round one byes in three years. He stated that our focus is on winning; and Vegas has proved not to be the best way to start the season.

He also stated that PVL would push the issue, the inference from he and BOF is that PVL would use the resloution of the December issue as leverage.
