$30 Million boost for Campbelltown Stadium Centre of Excellence.

It's suxs there

I would prefer 5 at the 8 wonder and the rest at Campbelltown

No more leg ups to other teams

And then after the 8 wonder upgrades maybe 6 there but have to keep games at Campbelltown
I didn’t mind the old Parra stadium. It had some charm. This thing though, absolutely terrible. I also don’t like how the Western stand is only for the officials and corporates. Not something they show on TV. You only notice it when you go there.

I remember being there in 87 or could have been 86 and chatting to a baby face Geoff Toovey it was just reopened the ground and I think it was called the world Nissan 7's a three day tournament so much fun 🍺🍻🍺🍻🍺

Until we start to win at least 50% of our games at Campbelltown it is a wasted home game imho.we are a club that wants to make the semis every year. Our win rate at Campbelltown needs to lift massively,2 out of out last 17 there is NOT acceptable.

Have you guys driven around lumeah recently ? I haven’t been here for a while , but there’s tigers on the street signs around the stadium , advertising all over the place .
they’re trying to make it obviously tiger town . I haven’t been here since last year . But man it’s very much obvious they’re trying to own this area as Wests Tigers . It’s really good to see . Richo and more importantly Shaun have already in 2 years got the council and local wests involved , and made them feel important enough to invest . It’s only small things . But it seems like the area is going all in .Come on Sunday .. Letssss goooo !

Good to hear! Those things make a difference.

Growing up in the 90s there was magpies stuff everywhere in Leumeah. Tommy went to every School fete in the area and would sign footy posters almost non stop. He was NSW origin coach at the time as well. He'd ride around on a flat bed truck barking people to come to the game. Leumeah station had footy decals all over it. It reached it's Zenith in 1996 when Wests made the finals. It was getting really legit around that time, and then Super League took all the oxygen out of the project / area. Also Tommy R was a sugar hit for the area but not a long term pro coach.

That great Campbelltown footy generation, (Fulton, Gibbs, Lawrence, Jarryd Hayne, Ben Roberts, Collis, Gallant), grew up in and amongst all of that. There was a really solid connection to Campbelltown in Wests Tigers when we had all those westie juniors in the side. Gibbs and Fulton especially brought a lot of Campbelltown humour and personality into the team, and when we had all those local lads (+ Skando and Hodgo) it didn't seem such an outlier or so soulless to play at the Stadium.
