Good point, and welcome to the forum TL !All the good teams don't peak until later in the season, let's hope it's the same for us and there is more upside to this team.

Wow and they are not ALL NEGATIVE?I hear ya.
In today's Telecrap, there is a double page in the sports section with maybe 6 different articles . . . and 4 pertain to us in one way or another.
Unchartered waters indeed !
The players really seem to be embracing it. Its good to finally have some good news stories, so I dont mind it.It's seriously OTT the amount of positive stories in the media about the Wests Tigers, every masthead multiple stories every day.
Don't get me wrong, I love it and much prefer it this way than the HBG headlines.
I'm probably exaggerating but I can't remember this type of continuous positive coverage since our finals run in 2005 (and it's only the first 6 rounds of the season).
Part of me thinks the media are building us up waiting for the bubble to burst but I don't think it will ... I think Benji has the squad focused squarely on effort, consistency and playing for eachother and not getting ahead of ourselves with headlines.
I think hes trying to find the the combination he wants for that side of the field, so come finals time, he knows who to play (with confidence).Unsure if I should start another page... but what's going on with our backline?
Round 6:
1 Bula
2 Makasini
3 Turuva
4 Patrick Herbert
5 Skelton
Then round 7:
1 Bula
2 Turuva (moved from centers)
3 Taylan
4 Herbert
5 Makasini
Is this smart?
It seems a reasonable amount of backline changing. Sure we want Taylan on the field and that's the right decision.
Then you are putting Herbert with Makasini... Rookie + Rookie.
I hope this change works because the Broncos lineup will eat us if it doesn't.
Agree Stevo, if we can jag the win down in bleakest of over rated, crime ridden cities then hang the banner, WTs have arrived. For me the real test will be when we play the Storm in Melbourne, for years they have hammered us down there no matter how they are playing at the time.
Forever they have treated us like their whipping boys in this game, if we can beat them, I can feel that the good early form is franked.
Unsure if I should start another page... but what's going on with our backline?

I would assume May will be left centre next to Maka. Herbert and Tito on the right like last weekThe R7 backs line up looks like our strongest so far. If not for injuries Makasini should have been the wing all along. Herbert has jumped Toa on form, this may change if Toa gets back to 100%. It’s Herbert’s spot to lose.
Right Side: Turuva -Right Wing (2) and May- Right Centre (3) - is where they were in our first game against the Cows. Allowing Makasini to be in his natural left side.
Left Side: Herbert- Left Centre (4) and Makasini -Left Wing (5)
Yep Tiny up against StaggsI would assume May will be left centre next to Maka. Herbert and Tito on the right like last week
