Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I’m still laughing so hard listening to Cameron Ciraldo complain about the refereeing .. and the rule changes as to being the reason why his side isn’t doing well .. hahahahaha

He complained about the 6 again count that didn’t help them at half time .. ummm Dogs received 5 and Dolphins only received 1 up to half time .. awwww poor mongrel Dogs .. lol
Yeah that was baffling...said "sometimes too many 6 agains can be suffocating"
And they reckon Bellamy has no answers

I do agree with your post. I believe it’s also the willingness and fitness of a team to go with the momentum shift. If you’re playing for your team mates you’ll scramble to the death.

The dogs seemed to just give up a few times last night leading to tries. The last try was just soft. All is not well behind the scenes at Belmore. But hey, Galvin had a good game 🤣
Each time the Tigers have recruited lately the emphasis is fitting into the vibe to add to team energy. What Galvin has done is bring down the united energy the Dogs had beginning last year.

He’s scored a couple of soft individual try’s, but surely that’s not enough to salvage his popularity in that squad. They went backwards the moment he got there.

Stefano is the biggest myth I’ve seen in the nrl since Tony Williams . He is a big reason their middle is leaking like a sieve , and only has explosive runs when he’s running at the smallest guy on the field. How he’s still being mentioned for origin and T may and twally are considered “Smokey’s” is just bullshit . He’s absolutely shit . And he was when he played for us . Used to piss me right off all the time .

Stephano's just one of those Forwards who look brilliant in a balanced squad but just isn't a difference maker on his own. Adam Blair was exactly the same. Forward play is so different when you're dominant. There is different kinds of toughness, and I think that's what the Storm in general are finding out now.

Look at Twal go in a dominant pack compared to before.

I was watching some of our old games and Api made Stef look better than he was.

As each week goes by he sounds more like a politician. Defends his poor decisions and looks to blame others for losses.

If you cast your mind back to 2005 the same thing happened. The Tigers and to a lesser extent the Cowboys played this very quick game with mobile smaller forwards and fast play the balls with players in motion. There was an uproar from a few coaches, especially Ricky who complained they had recruited rosters suited to a more traditional style of football. The following year the NRL slowed the game down. Benji at his prime would have been untouchable playing under the current interpretations of the rules and the speed the games played

Still hard to take some of these commentators still gushing over him as if he was creamy or something like that.
Cronk spends a lot of time highlighting Galvin’s weaknesses and Joey Johns has fired a few shots at him.

Love seeing Galvin struggle, but to be honest he is going better than most of his team mates. He should be playing six but with Woods injured they obviously have no one else. Just hope we beat them

The presenter on SKY declared Cronulla as the best bet of the weekend this morning.
His reasoning was that Api, KPP and "some other bloke" are out.

Summed up the importance to the team beautifully.
A much bigger factor than missing our 3 key players is the fact we have been up and playing with high intensity for quite a while, we have had some players playing through injury and our past 2 games only had a 5 day turn around.
Of course Benji will be trying very hard to get them motivated for this Sharks game and we will no doubt be trying, but it’s a game where we come up against a forward pack as powerful and physical as what we are and I think it’s inevitable we will lack intensity in some stages of the game.
Because we are high in confidence it’s possible we can find a way to win, but very unlikely due to the circumstances and that wouldn’t have been any different if Api, KPP and Bula were playing.

We do have a ten day turnaround though. Sharks have 9 though.

I agree Lestronge, he is a flat track Bully that picks his mark. Will never be the forward to lead the charge. i remember a game and i think it was 2024 season and they played the Rooster and got touched up 40 to 4. In that game our forwards were getting hammered and Stefano was no where to be found and the comparasion on the other hand was Fonua Pole who in a badly beaten team never stopped going at the Roosters forwards and was rewarded with a try at the end. Terrel is a head and shoulders better front rower than Stefano.
