Abdo said they wouldn’t look at registering him while on parole. The possibility goes both ways. Let’s not forget he was sentenced to 8 years and even if he’s allowed to be released in October he’s still on parole. His sentence isn’t over just because he’s allowed back into society. No doubt he made a big mistake and yes he will get a second chance in life, but the NRL might not allow him to register until the sentence period is up and if that’s the case it’ll be too late. If he messes up he goes straight back into prison, I'm not saying he will I hope for his sake he avoids going back inside should he be allowed out, and if by a miracle the NRL allow him to join and he does come to us I do think his brothers will help him. But if he does the club he’s with pays as well because they’ve lost a player and will have to look elsewhere. As cruel as it sounds, the NRL have a right to reject him because the club he’s signed with ultimately suffers should he mess up and get hauled back in. I hope that if he does be allowed back in, he doesn’t mess up.
The violins are a nice touch lol

I can't believe this is still been talked up on here for next season after all these years in prison, at least take 6 months to acclimatise to outside life before thinking about footy.Abdo said they wouldn’t look at registering him while on parole.
Gnrs was laughing at all the blokes that are rushing back a bloke that’s lived on spam inside a concrete box for 6+ years, straight back into professional football with an NRL contract - and talking like he’s next weeks 19th man…
He’s not even out until post season…
He’s not been in society for years - he’s got bigger fish to fry inside himself before he even thinks of professional sport for a day to day…
Most long term inmates are in transitional release programs (supervised work environments) for a year before they get to ‘do what they like’
Ps: that video was from ages ago…
Not to mention that parole usually has a few conditions, like not leaving the state or country, so he might have a problem with some away games.I can't believe this is still been talked up on here for next season after all these years in prison, at least take 6 months to acclimatise to outside life before thinking about footy.
What's next, we find out another tigers player has a long lost brother found in some remote jungle, he looks like the elephant man but can run really fast, quick, sign him up.
Come on mate he’s worth a stab……I can't believe this is still been talked up on here for next season after all these years in prison, at least take 6 months to acclimatise to outside life before thinking about footy.

You're talking about the elephant man, he would be cheap, just give him an endless supply of shelled peanuts.Come on mate he’s worth a stab……
Isn’t Russell Packer a lawyer now? Sure he can help us out. Like the guy only played one decent season for us.Not to mention that parole usually has a few conditions, like not leaving the state or country, so he might have a problem with some away games.
Who else where we taking about? You're talking about the elephant man, he would be cheap, just give him an endless supply of shelled peanuts.

Nah Shiba has made some tackles in his careerToa 2.0
To'a isn't better than anyone playing regular NRL. He's not even better than most backup NRL players.I don’t think he’s worth more than 250 and don’t want us to sign him, he’s not that good of a player, toa is better imo
You must be as old as me tiger1 to remember that .Ive hated Manly ever since.Going back to 1980, Manly raided the Wests Magpies and stole 3 of their best:
Manly infamously raided the Western Suburbs Magpies ahead of the 1980 season, signing three of their biggest stars: Les Boyd (second-row/prop), Ray Brown (hooker), and John Dorahy (fullback/centre).
Not sure if it's been discussed, but what does everyone think about bringing manese fainu in when he is released? Given our challenges at 9 this year with api out, it's gotta be a strong consideration on a base wage.
There’s a few things I’m wondering about, isn’t he the younge bloke who took API’s spot at manly? If the brother of our three boys wants a crack I see no reason from our side not to see what he has , how he is fit wise etc , if he wanted a go he would be doing things now in jail to be able to do it out side on parole , his brothers would be able to give him info for training tips , strength , speed , etc , he would be doing jail run courses prior to him coming out , probably will need a job , that could be arranged , training with reserve grade , it can be done if the player is 101% all in , Benji would simply tell the brothers he gets a chance but he must be 101% committed , train and trial deal , the club would also check with the nrl first to see if they will allow it , I believe they will but he may not be able to head to other stated , QLD , NZ , first year so that may only be the main problem but not a real drama , he just stays home simple , if he has any ability Benji will see it , kid was meant to be a gun so who knows but I would give him a chance if he shows he wants it
No one has a real problem with the situation I wouldn’t think (although the moral high horses would be out in force if they were all still at Manly)He did he time I don't have a problem with it everyone makes mistakes as long as he starts in Reggie's and no top 30 contract he has to earn his spot
