POLL: Should the club fold and handover/sell the licence?

What fans? I love the excuses that get made about the stadium not being full because we play out of town teams there...where are our own fans at our own ground???

Leichhardt is pumping every week, any opposition.

We have no supporters in the Western Suburbs...growth area bullshit. Tired of hearing it.
There were plenty of Warriors fans making noise last night.

My first & only post here.
Born & bred a Balmain supporter.
Went to the 69 grand final with my Dad, stood on the hill & watched us win.
I was against the merger from Day 1 & I am still against it.
Haven't attended or watched a match since Balmain were merged but have watched the train wreck each season through the media.
The club is rubbish, other than 1 lucky season it has always been rubbish & continues to be so.
It should be closed down, the partnership dissolved & what's left transferred to NZ for its 2nd team.
The so-called 'Centre of Excellence' which has been a total waste of money from the outset should be sold to Football Australia who can they can turn it into their 'Home of Football' for their national teams.
It's time for this to happen, I have sympathy for all of the long suffering but loyal fans but it's time to finally say 'Enough is Enough'

As a lifelong Balmain Tigers supporter I feel your pain, I was gutted to see us merge with the Fibros.

Just like the Steelers were forced to merge with the Dragons, the Eagles with the Bears, and the Rabbitohs were even pushed out of the NRL, I don't believe we have a better competition today by merging clubs.

Super League changed the landscape of rugby league. It was driven by money and TV rights, with the Packer vs Murdoch battle reshaping the game.

A lot of supporters lost hope at the time, and unfortunately Balmain Leagues Club became caught up in years of planning disputes, redevelopment delays and financial problems.

However, there is hope OTS. The Rozelle Village development, which includes a new Balmain Leagues Club is now progressing quickly, and maybe we'll have a balanced relationship with Wests Ashfield and HBG.

Holding onto this after 25 years is likely a sign that you have lost touch with reality.

Age is not an excuse to become THAT person. If for no other reason than caring for your wife/husband, kids, or Grandkids, please try to process your feelings. I can only imagine how painful you two must be to live with.

And us winning the comp so early, in 05 is almost the equivalent of peaking in high school.
Yeah, but I’m glad we won. That premiership in ’05 showed that we should be there, and in some ways it shaped Benji’s career.

But, if the argument is that we should fold, I say no. We just need to build a better franchise / business model, or even have a private owner like Arthur Laundy who's a lifelong Tigers supporter.

Haha .. Football Australia ..another team of winners …I just watched every minute of them at the WC and they were awful in the main… back to obscurity now another 4 years

You can always choose just to walk away mate ..as you claim to have done 30 years although joined the forum a week ago and still seem to know what’s going on

People still can’t let go that they merged and 30 years later would rather the new entity didn’t exist when they could just choose to ignore it very easily …seems odd to me …

I’ll also remind everyone that Balmain and Wests never won a comp for 30 years before they merged ..

And it could be your last Balmain's first grade team died many years ago it was a sad day RIP Balmain and Western Suburbs First grade football team

This is something new and very exciting there is never a dull moment

I describe following The West Tigers to my mates like watching Day Of Our Lives on Steroids cross with a game of Cludo you never know who did it and murdered you till the end it keeps you guessing

Alcohol use to help but I am off the drink now just waiting till Christmas to have another if I can

There will always be a West Tigers in the NRL it's a bit like watching a car accident when you drive by everyone slows down and looks

The Tiger's create so much media when you think about the coverage the Tigers get the gap to fill it would be enormous the games rate high on tv the crowd turns up and the drama rolls on and on never ending and just when you think you have hit rock bottom well look out because a new low is about to hit
