It's a funny thing. When a player or team is going gangbusters, refs just assume that everything they do is fine.
There was a blatant forward pass from Walsh leading up to a try that wasn't called - not by the refs or commentators. They just assume it's Reece Magic. No, it was a bloody mile forward and should have been called.

What did everyone think of the call in the final two minutes where To'o and another panthers player took the broncos player over the sideline?
Technically, its held, because a forearm was on the ground.
But in the spirit of rugby league and in real time - it was a fair tackle to take him over the sideline.
I think the right decision, rugby league wise, was for the panthers to get a scrum there....

Glad the underdogs get up now and then it would be a boring competition if the Fav's always won, how often do you see them get all the 50/50 calls, it's something we always complain about.
Despite their ladder position this season, I don’t think I’d ever consider the Broncos to be underdogs, not with the refs anyway.
I don't know about you but for me it says a lot about how off the game I am recently.
Very rarely, if ever, do I watch a game not involving our hopeless Tigers.

The sooner they ban this one handed tap back off kicks the better. They put it in place early on and penalised anyone who wasn't attempting to catch the ball - i'm guessing the roosters complained and got that changed.
They are, they were my pick before the season started to win the comp. We’ll see how that goes.
Gotta feel for Newcastle though, I really hate it when teams score more tries but lose because of bad goal kicking. Just doesn’t seem right.

They’ve missed the finals once in 12 years … they’re consistent I gotta give it to them.
1 premiership and 3 preliminary final appearances in that time is pretty damning though.. they definitely get the yips come finals time.
