I can’t disagree with anything you have said.
I just dont think a slow 13 with minimal ability to break a tackle or make a line break is contributing to our abysmal attack.
I think Benji is working off the theory that we are constantly struggling to win the yardage battle, so we have no choice other than to effectively play 3 bigger bodied middle forwards.
I think he might be missing the point that this really hinders us playing expansively and using speed and tackke break ability to stretch and worry our opponents.
I think Doueihi is well and truly capable of playing the type of 13 role we need on attack, but is he up to making more tackles when we are defending is the million dollar question?
And as good as an edge back row combination of Samuela and KPP showed they could be in tandem earlier this season, neither of them have the explosive speed of Jacob Preston.
If we were any chance of adding someone with explosive speed such as Jacob Preston or Tallis Duncan who is also currently available for 2028, I think we would be nad North do all we could to sign one of them and tinker with who would be better suited as a starting 13 out of KPP or Samuela.

Similar to why players such as Tony Sukkar make a couple of bad defensive reads and gets dropped back to NSW Cup, where others can make 100 bad defensive reads of missed tackles and still keep their spot?

Someone was saying he wants 800 and could go to market, dogs wouldn’t have the cap for that with Burton and critta on 1m, but you’re right tigers should go for everyone to drive the price up, like managers used to do to us

He seems a bit stubborn with some of his selections …Guess he just favours picking injured soon to be out the door Toa, and out of position Turuva…

Weren’t they talking about trying to recruit the guys we re-signed?

This is for 2028 … Burton will be gone by then I reckon …might even be gone at the end of this year over to Perth … the Dogs pushed us for Bula and they have paid overs looks like … time to return the favour even if they don’t end up with him ..

The level of effort of both of them(Samuela) last w/e was embarrassing. Can understand May in same situation,but think Benji has cooked him with poor rotations
Samuela cld be an elite player somewhere some day...dont like his stated loyalty to Benji rather than the club is for me a huge issue.

Are we talking about the same bloke , up untill his injury he was a gun backrower, considering he missed so many games , he has come back pretty good , there’s other players u can’t bag , put samuela isn’t one of them

Always thought the pack lacked some physicality - strength and mobility. The biggest disappointment has been the progress of the spine. I thought lt looked pretty good on paper but injuries, Luai jumping unpredictable form of Douehi,- looks like it's been a non event in long term stability. Back to the drawing board for next season with hopefully finally a successful transition of young talent coming through.

And I agree with your take on the role of the 13, I wouldn’t mind starting the game with Twal and then moving him up to the front row after 20 minutes and having someone like Connor Watson come on as a 13 like you are talking about.
Pity St George have snapped up Watson for next year.

Don’t know who or if they wanted any of our players.
All I’m saying is in my opinion that next year there squad will look stronger than ours.
As we really haven’t recruited just replaced like for like To’a with Averillo
