OFFICIAL Adam Doueihi #227

I am not changing the subject.
The subject is today’s hot topic which is the Adam Doueihi controversy.
I stated I have good reason to believe it has been festering for some time and good results from earlier this season patched over the cracks, but what happened today was inevitable once Luai signed with PNG and got selected in the halves instead of Doueihi.
You’re doing it right now . Nadia Comedici over here seriously …
You never answer a direct question or reference . You ignore and shift the conversation . It’s dishonest AF.

Cant ignore Kimmorley's take - been there similar scenario and says now he wishes hed had the balls to manage it differently.
No Luai then to blame no Benji just Adam demanding to be picked at 5/8 or not play.
It appears we are seeing now why Benji has been reluctant to select Latu at 7
Hes probably known how Adz reacts to that and for the sake of team harmony has decided against it...just my 2 bobs worth.
Imo Adam.has burnt his bridges once too often now , theres no turning back from here...he shouldnt wear our jumper again

We are now in July, nearly August 2026.
I was as surprised as anyone when Benji got extended until 2030.
I think I know why it was done, I think we all do and it created a bit of solidarity at the time, but common sense says it was always going to come back and bite us as soon as the results turned bad.
This time last year I was at Wests Ashfield or it’s associate club most weeks and was getting information, but I haven’t been in that area this year so have no idea what is happening in that space, but, I did hear they were trying to distance themselves from being involved in Wests Tigers decision making.
What happens in light of this recent Doueihi controversy is anyones guess?
Wests Ashfield did an amazing job of distancing themselves from involvement with decision making at Wests Tigers when they did a hostile take over of our board, completely ripping apart the independance we had. Then appointing their patsies so they maintain the majority say on all issues.

AD won’t work with a young half, he will dominate and stifle them. andrews and fainu may not be ideal but better than putting a young half next to AD. he needs to leave. AD proved this by how he reacted to andrews debut

Do you think it might have something to do with his arm grabbing defence against more nimble payers of the last month and the regular shooting out of the line, slipping over and leaking points like a sieve? In the middle corridor he does does not have to make decsions to jam, the players aren't beating him with a shift of pace or a big step. I guess the coaching staff wanted him playing as a third half to spark our attack and AD is too thick to understand the reality of the situation.
IMO Doueihi offers more than Herbert in the centres.

I remember 2 young halves going on a run having a field day one year, and im convinced they did it because they didn't have a senior half with them. Both being young meant they just backed themselves, worked together and didn't sit back. Both were not as talented as Javon and Latu, but they did the job. Im talking about Mark Mclinden and Andrew McFadden for Canberra. I have always had the belief that there are benefits to having 2 young halves, especially if they are confident and super talented.

This is what we said last year with Lachlan and his feelings toward Latu.

So potentially we could end up losing Galvin, Luai and Douhei.

Ill tell ya what, Benjis going to want to pray the Latu and Andrews combo pays off.
No sure why Benji would resort to praying, luai was leaving regardless,Ads isn't a half he's been a care taker, you could say a 14 and Galvin wanted to go .play the cards you have and get on with it .now is as good a time for the young lads. What's the worst that could happen....If Latu wasn't suspended you never know Ads and Jerome might have both been shifted and or benched

IMO Doueihi offers more than Herbert in the centres.

Until his dummy spit i would agree with you but after his petulant behaviour he deserves to be picking splinters out of his backside on the bench in reggies, unless of course he apologies to Benji privately and then apologises to the entire squad about his dreadful behaviour.I am not a huge fan of Benji as a coach but he is the coach and demands a certain respect and if you want to play first grade you do what he says.Even the 3 worst coaches the Tigers have ever had (Jason Taylor,Terry Lamb and Alan Jones) deserved the respect of the players.

With all due respect, if Adam wasn't made of glass and played more games than he missed, was a proven match-winner and was a genuine first-class half then he has the right to question the decision (behind closed doors).

But he misses more games than he plays, thinks "defence" goes around the "de house" and lets be honest, nobody (including the Tigers) were in a rush to sign him when he was last on the market.

Adam don't confuse ambition with ability.

I don’t think Bennett would have let it happen, at the very worst it would have been an “ injury” so order was maintained.
Seems like Benji may have wanted it to come to à head !
I don't think anyone at the club is smart enough to let it come to a head as a strategy. I think Benji is plucking at straws in how best to turn our season around and there's a mess being left behind in the process. Typical WTs BS that we all have to be exposed to. Do yourself a favour and don't read much NRL media over the next week or 2.

so did he not walk out ??
the nrl media is doing a job, as a club we are the gift that keeps on giving

Yeah just watched Noddy on Sen talking about his experience with AD.....it does explain a few things about team selections, this year in particular.

Surely the rest of the players knew about this behaviour? It can't do team harmony much good.
Any links? What did he say?
