You’re doing it right now . Nadia Comedici over here seriously …I am not changing the subject.
The subject is today’s hot topic which is the Adam Doueihi controversy.
I stated I have good reason to believe it has been festering for some time and good results from earlier this season patched over the cracks, but what happened today was inevitable once Luai signed with PNG and got selected in the halves instead of Doueihi.
It appears we are seeing now why Benji has been reluctant to select Latu at 7Cant ignore Kimmorley's take - been there similar scenario and says now he wishes hed had the balls to manage it differently.
No Luai then to blame no Benji just Adam demanding to be picked at 5/8 or not play.
Being frustrated at being dummied to while they run into unmarked space as douhei is wrapped up with the ball In one arm and his other arm hanging on by the skin tension onlyNobody else has contributed to a try for us over the past month.
So if Doueihi is the problem, what are all the others doing?
Do you have to ask this question? Are you speculating or do you know this for a fact?
Wests Ashfield did an amazing job of distancing themselves from involvement with decision making at Wests Tigers when they did a hostile take over of our board, completely ripping apart the independance we had. Then appointing their patsies so they maintain the majority say on all issues. We are now in July, nearly August 2026.
I was as surprised as anyone when Benji got extended until 2030.
I think I know why it was done, I think we all do and it created a bit of solidarity at the time, but common sense says it was always going to come back and bite us as soon as the results turned bad.
This time last year I was at Wests Ashfield or it’s associate club most weeks and was getting information, but I haven’t been in that area this year so have no idea what is happening in that space, but, I did hear they were trying to distance themselves from being involved in Wests Tigers decision making.
What happens in light of this recent Doueihi controversy is anyones guess?
IMO Doueihi offers more than Herbert in the centres.Do you think it might have something to do with his arm grabbing defence against more nimble payers of the last month and the regular shooting out of the line, slipping over and leaking points like a sieve? In the middle corridor he does does not have to make decsions to jam, the players aren't beating him with a shift of pace or a big step. I guess the coaching staff wanted him playing as a third half to spark our attack and AD is too thick to understand the reality of the situation.
AD won’t work with a young half, he will dominate and stifle them. andrews and fainu may not be ideal but better than putting a young half next to AD. he needs to leave. AD proved this by how he reacted to andrews debut
No sure why Benji would resort to praying, luai was leaving regardless,Ads isn't a half he's been a care taker, you could say a 14 and Galvin wanted to go .play the cards you have and get on with it .now is as good a time for the young lads. What's the worst that could happen....If Latu wasn't suspended you never know Ads and Jerome might have both been shifted and or benchedThis is what we said last year with Lachlan and his feelings toward Latu.
So potentially we could end up losing Galvin, Luai and Douhei.
Ill tell ya what, Benjis going to want to pray the Latu and Andrews combo pays off.
IMO Doueihi offers more than Herbert in the centres.
I don't think anyone at the club is smart enough to let it come to a head as a strategy. I think Benji is plucking at straws in how best to turn our season around and there's a mess being left behind in the process. Typical WTs BS that we all have to be exposed to. Do yourself a favour and don't read much NRL media over the next week or 2.I don’t think Bennett would have let it happen, at the very worst it would have been an “ injury” so order was maintained.
Seems like Benji may have wanted it to come to à head !
More like Jonah Takalua and his mates trying to run a professional sporting team, instead breakdancing in the COE carpark.I’m getting visions of Mr G from Summer Heights High from this.
so did he not walk out ??I don't think anyone at the club is smart enough to let it come to a head as a strategy. Any links? What did he say?Yeah just watched Noddy on Sen talking about his experience with AD.....it does explain a few things about team selections, this year in particular.
Surely the rest of the players knew about this behaviour? It can't do team harmony much good.
Any links? What did he say?
