OFFICIAL Adam Doueihi #227

The one thing I just can’t compartmentalise in this breakdown of the Marshall/ Doueihi relationship issue is that coach Marshall hasn’t penalised Doueihi in some way? Could it be that Benji has accepted full responsibility for the communication breakdown by handing the 7 jersey back to Doueihi?
I think Benji has set a dangerous precedent, or hopefully he has learned a valuable lesson?

Yeah it would seem Benji has taken some responsibilty for whats gone down, we'll probably never know to what extend.

It's a bad look for the club but all you can do is hope that people have learnt form the sh*t show.

I won't bother watching him. Damage is done.
I have not bothered watching this team for the last 4 weeks...what they are dishing up is putrid, the AD shenanigans have made me a bit more interested in the Parra game just to see what he dishes up and the dynamic across the rest of the team. There is also the API 250 and how they lift or dont lift for that. All that said...i still will not be watching it.

Maybe not the world, but as a supporter I want to know.

Right now my perception of the club is in the gutter.

And even though I am only 1 man, I'm still one of the people the club needs to watch or go to games, renew memberships, buy merchandise....

Public perception is extremely important to an NRL club - likely even moreso for the tigers compared to others.

Who knows how many people won't watch, won't make the effort to get to the game this week?

I'll watch, but my heart certainly won't be cheering for Doueihi.
The feeling I get is even the rusted ons are getting over it, there is only so much pain you can endure before you give up. Sure it's a losing mentality, but I learnt from the best, the tigers squad!

A real man deals with his problems properly and respects the team, the fans, and his mates. Saying sorry after you abandon them doesn't fix a thing. Words are cheap when the damage is already done. He walked, we suffered, and an apology doesn't earn respect back.
Not making excuses, but we really hold high expectations of footballers in their 20's.

I agree Isaac is a shit stain on the nrl . Unfortunately whilst Benji is here , especially whilst Benji lacks the runs in wins and losses , will this stuff continue . I don’t think any other new coach has had to battle a manager undermining him at every turn , as ell as the usual club bullshit . And HBG … the sooner we are rid of them the better.
I genuinely wish they’d sell to the fans like the greenbay packers.
I find it hard to believe Adam had no idea what sort of storm this would have created for Benji and the club with the media.

It wreaked of someone trying to bring Benji down.

You should be a defense lawyer.
Maybe 20 year olds shouldn't vote as they are too emotional?
Extend the 16 and under social media dribble ban to 30 as 20 year old aussie guys are too emotional.
Sandpaper gate could be because warner and Smith were about 30 and Cam was in his 20s?
Maybe stop making excuses for players there 20s because they play footy.

Just saying 20 somethings do most of the stupid shit...not excusing it, but also not surprised. If it's going to happen it's more likely to happen in that age group.

I suggest you read my previous posts on the matter for more context on my views if my comment has triggered you.

Don't need to read previous posts.
Anyone making excuses for his actions are alright with dogging your team.
Gutted he will ever play for us as the refused to play is a massive line.

You've read a lot into my post that wasn't there. I hope you're able to calm down. You're upset about something that was never said...you imagined it and took a lot of liberties in doing so.

I guess that is a choice we all need to make. We can be bitter and twisted about it or we can make the assumption that Benji and the club have made their best decision to get us back on track.

To think otherwise is to think that Benji and Shaun are deliberately trying to undermine our performances.

I have been critical of AD for several seasons, and I was certainly pissed off with him at the time. I am probably less forgiving that others on here; but, while I have moved on from the incident I am still filthy with AD and his belief that he is still a leader a the club (which in my eyes he never was).

Benji and Shaun, for whatever reason, have made the determination that keeping everything in house, and that selecting AD at 7 is the least damaging option. They have made a deliberate decsion not to make an example of AD and also not to address us supporters directly.

I don't like AD playing FG after his bullshit stunt in any form. I have the choice to wak out on the club and to not watch or go to games. However, there are plenty of players that deserve support, so like AD or not, I'll continue to support the team. At the same time I will continue to hold my opinion that AD's best postion is playing for some other club.

Im going to watch. I want to see Douehi put on a 7 exhibition, demonstrating all his skills to take us to a victory over a team with a qualified 7. He has to direct the team and carry the clutch plays, and pass the ball at least once. Loving being out there with the boys isnt good enough any more. You want it, you take it. Get the job done.

Interesting Benji mentioned they had Danny Abdullah in to speak to them on Tuesday about acceptance and forgiveness
This is the father of the kids that were killed on the street by a drunk and drug affected driver at Oatlands several years ago.
He and his wife have forgiven the driver.

Personally ive ever only truly hated one person in my life and they came into my life thru my own stuff ups...i see this now but at the time i didnt.
Forgiving...or more for myself letting go of grudges that made me toxic and held.me back i believe has seen me grow and understand i was at fault when i was hating that peron.

If you carry baggage it just weighs you down...this Doueihi thing is a grain of sand to me compared to what ive been thru, yeah i dont like it and its a.very bad look for the club ive supported for over 50 years but I can get past it...but thats just me.and im not here to say anyone here should feel.this way or that about it...
It’s just good to still be here hey? I’ve found a calmness during the big issues. Now I just gotta stop yelling “you’re all a bunch of f….. lazy f…wits” at the tv on the weekends.

I'm really not usually the type who gets so wound up about these things.

But I'm also honest, so admit that this has annoyed me way more than the usual WT shenanigans.

I think I'm just sick and tired of supporting a club that seems to constantly find new methods to self sabotage.

But a little perspective is definitely needed here, and in the grand scheme it's only sport.

Thanks @Jolls 😊
