I think we still need a back-up centre of better immediate quality than Herbert. A real plug & play player, especially defensively. This player is hard to find as they have to accept being depth and not cost us much. That’s why i mentioned Isaiah Tass only if the Rabbits chip in like Broncos did with Madden.

You say we need the leadership and I agree, but 2 players that are only one year signings due to being so old is not the transition to a strong leadership we require. If we bring leaders in they need to be here and add value for at least 2 years, preferably 3. Im ok Frizell, he is playing strongly, but im not ok with Mann. I have been a huge Mann fan since he started first grade, rated him pound for pound the strongest in the comp. But I watched him closely once we were rumoured to be after him and he is shot. He was gassed early and his effort plays down.

Someone like Seyfarth will be left out of the team to accommodate an outside signing for just one year when Seyfarth would do a better job. Shocking recruitment

Yeah i’m not so sure , they are both terrific trainers and well respected by their peers , I remember we bought Scott Sattler over for the same reason in 04 and it paid off so i’m not so negative about signing them
 
I like the Mann signing, you know you will get 100%, unlike a Bird type of player.

Not just on the field but very importantly off it, he's apparantly a great trainer which is important for our team.

Agreed. One more quality centre back-up and one more quality 2nd-rower back-up is needed.

IMO, Back-up should have NRL experience. Depth can be untested juniors or fringies. Depth is basically our NSW Cup team and ideally only called up if we’re desperate.

6. Doueihi (Andrews) (Schuster)

9. Api (Brailey) (Haywood)
10. Pole (Frizell/ Sione) (Taupau-Moors)
11. Samuela (Roberts) (Godinet)
12. KPP (Sukkar?) (Broederlow)

So based on this, the most glaring jump in quality between our starters and back-ups is in the centres and 2nd row. Roberts could be anything but is untested and Sukkar isn’t even re-signed. Frizell to cover? He’s been primarily used in the middle this year at Knights.

With those 2 new signings, it would bring us to 30 players (assuming we sign Frizell and re-sign Skelton and Sukkar).

Latu looks better wider in the attack imo. Should be #6

Maybe we can try and trade ad with another team, not sure what player we would look at though

no we don't. Herbert's basically spot 30 on the roster. in years' past that spot has been reserved for players like Will Craig.

currently for depth in the outside backs we have Herbert, Saukuru and Makasini in the 30 with Tavana and Attard on development contracts.

one more is absolutely required, particularly with the six-man bench.

Just don't take it too seriously. It can change overnight.
Luai - I'm here for 5 years etc. TDS--Love the Tigers. They say whatever suits them at the time.
 
Frizell and Mann are risky signings as they are both 34 and 35 next year but if they play like they did this year it should provide better depth then the likes of Hope, Murray and Lanyon

No excuses next year, it’s top 8 or bust

Roosters can say that because they have 12-13 current or recent SOO players plus other internationals all under the salary cap. Strangely Penrith haven’t been able to do that so how do the roosters. By playing by different rules. No one can be compared to the roosters other than the broncos.
