What's your point, we are as thin as one ply toilet paper. We talk about depth and he would be great in reggies.Lmao Skelton was off contract all year
Not really an exodus you’re speaking ofWhat's your point, we are as thin as one ply toilet paper. We talk about depth and he would be great in reggies.
Our ongoing recruitment drive and direction is to give players over 34 a retirement contract.
We are the club where players careers finally die.
James Schiller could be on the move before next season despite having 12 months left on his contract at the Knights.
November 1st is coming. Not really an exodus you’re speaking of
Pro golf is the rumour hereYe has never really excited me as a footballer
Would’ve kept Skelton instead of signing Schiller but he just had a baby to a misso in Brisbane may of wanted to head homeJames Schiller could be on the move before next season despite having 12 months left on his contract at the Knights.
The Tigers are one club who have been linked with the 25-year-old who is free to leave Newcastle immediately if he secures a deal elsewhere.
Schiller arrived at Newcastle last season from Canberra and played 17 top grade games. But managed just one first grade game this year as he fell down the pecking order in a Newcastle side who marched towards the grand final.
Schiller impressed in NSW Cup, scoring 16 tries from 13 games for the Knights. The Tigers could be having a bit of a Knights reunion with Jayden Brailey and Kurt Mann already signed and Tyson Frizell expected to join the club.
And clearly out of favour most of the seasonLmao Skelton was off contract all year
Over 7 or 8 years ....yep92 game fringey 😉
If by "exodus" you mean just the usual turn over of players at the end of each year, then yes.Absolutely not, but I also don't think it's smart to build a team around families. Diversity is essential.
I made a post mid-year that I thought there would be an exodus of players at the end of the year.
It's starting to happen.
There's a saying - When you put all your eggs in one basket, you risk breaking them all.

Yeah you've gone off topic...ill leave you to itWhat? The point is winning. That is why we play the game.
I don't understand why so many supporters give our team a 'get out of jail' card after getting flogged every season.
We haven't made the top eight since 2011. We have the longest finals drought of any NRL club.
And is renowned for being a model professionalWe're aiming to recruit experience.
Surely Frizz on a 1 year deal > Tamou.
I'm not a huge fan but the guy just played in a grand final and is a former rep player.
He's there to do a job.
Who cares. He'll be playing Ron Massey Cup. My God you whingeYeah except Manase hasn’t played in seven years and doesnt deserve a redemption arc as the merkin still hasn’t admitted stabbing that bloke. The guy is a filthy jailbird piece of shit and this is a typical braindead Wests Tigers recruitment decision.
To play Ron Massey Cup? You're over reacting. We're basically saying, Yep he can go play park footy with our affiliate and maybe a bit of nsw cup if he somehow performs wellThe thing is though, do you think clubs who chase Sam will be prepared to bend over? Do you think the Roosters or the Storm would say “Sure, we’ll sign your thug brother who has never admitted his guilt, if that’s what it takes to get you.” No goddamn way. Sam and Latu presenting themselves as a package deal is one thing as they are genuine first graders. Having to include their interloper brother, who has not only not played for 6 or 7 years, but been in jail is something only the most desperate club would even consider.
Or ever more than likelyThis Manase thing getting way more bandwidth than it deserves. He wont be anywhere near our first grade squad next year.
So where do the Ryde Eastwood hawks play when there home ground TG Milner gets knocked down next year? Obviously not anywhere else Ryde EastwoodYeah I saw that first article last year, and it's an awesome commitment to sports medicine, physiotherapy and player welfare through education at WSU.
However I'm worried that there's not enough of a balance between the inner West/Ryde area and the South West. A lot of our inner Wests juniors are being recruited by Souths, the Dogs and Parra.
There was an article in the Telegraph about this -
" Amidst the broader boardroom fractures of the Wests Tigers, the club’s Inner West junior development system is facing a dual crisis of mass player talent drain and heavy structural imbalances compared to their South West counterparts. "
and the Wests Tigers website -
" The Wests Tigers' development pathways are feeling the sting of the modern NRL ecosystem, as a hyper-competitive market has led to a widely discussed "juniors mass exodus". This includes talent tied to their Ryde-Eastwood Hawks partnership. Because the club has an incredibly deep nursery of elite young prospects, rival franchises actively target their pathways. The Tigers cannot keep every rising star they produce under salary cap pressures and squad limits "
This will continue to happen. Schools like Holy Cross, are now focusing on football rather than league, and the AFL is making huge inroads into the South West.
The last article is a PR beat up. It's easy to make up stories after a win.
Rex Bassingthwaite will be their future 1No way
Unfortunately, they have to play in Lidcombe for now.So where do the Ryde Eastwood hawks play when there home ground TG Milner gets knocked down next year? Obviously not anywhere else Ryde Eastwood
Or Ryde oval, despite the cricket pitchUnfortunately, they have to play in Lidcombe for now.
If they had half an idea, they would play at TG Millner Field in Marsfield.
