Daily Tele says we’re linked with Schiller

@Vicious will be happy
James Schiller could be on the move before next season despite having 12 months left on his contract at the Knights.

The Tigers are one club who have been linked with the 25-year-old who is free to leave Newcastle immediately if he secures a deal elsewhere.

Schiller arrived at Newcastle last season from Canberra and played 17 top grade games. But managed just one first grade game this year as he fell down the pecking order in a Newcastle side who marched towards the grand final.

Schiller impressed in NSW Cup, scoring 16 tries from 13 games for the Knights. The Tigers could be having a bit of a Knights reunion with Jayden Brailey and Kurt Mann already signed and Tyson Frizell expected to join the club.

Would’ve kept Skelton instead of signing Schiller but he just had a baby to a misso in Brisbane may of wanted to head home

Absolutely not, but I also don't think it's smart to build a team around families. Diversity is essential.

I made a post mid-year that I thought there would be an exodus of players at the end of the year.

It's starting to happen.

There's a saying - When you put all your eggs in one basket, you risk breaking them all.

If by "exodus" you mean just the usual turn over of players at the end of each year, then yes.

We don't get Taylan without Terrell. The Fainus have been class on and off the field since arriving. We also have 25 players in our top 30 who arent related. Struggling to see what the issue is and what your solution to it would be

What? The point is winning. That is why we play the game.

I don't understand why so many supporters give our team a 'get out of jail' card after getting flogged every season.

We haven't made the top eight since 2011. We have the longest finals drought of any NRL club.
Yeah you've gone off topic...ill leave you to it
If you cant follow a simple discussion without twisting it to suit yourself dont bother.
You were.proven wrong and this is your out

The thing is though, do you think clubs who chase Sam will be prepared to bend over? Do you think the Roosters or the Storm would say “Sure, we’ll sign your thug brother who has never admitted his guilt, if that’s what it takes to get you.” No goddamn way. Sam and Latu presenting themselves as a package deal is one thing as they are genuine first graders. Having to include their interloper brother, who has not only not played for 6 or 7 years, but been in jail is something only the most desperate club would even consider.
To play Ron Massey Cup? You're over reacting. We're basically saying, Yep he can go play park footy with our affiliate and maybe a bit of nsw cup if he somehow performs well

Yeah I saw that first article last year, and it's an awesome commitment to sports medicine, physiotherapy and player welfare through education at WSU.

However I'm worried that there's not enough of a balance between the inner West/Ryde area and the South West. A lot of our inner Wests juniors are being recruited by Souths, the Dogs and Parra.

There was an article in the Telegraph about this -

" Amidst the broader boardroom fractures of the Wests Tigers, the club’s Inner West junior development system is facing a dual crisis of mass player talent drain and heavy structural imbalances compared to their South West counterparts. "

and the Wests Tigers website -

" The Wests Tigers' development pathways are feeling the sting of the modern NRL ecosystem, as a hyper-competitive market has led to a widely discussed "juniors mass exodus". This includes talent tied to their Ryde-Eastwood Hawks partnership. Because the club has an incredibly deep nursery of elite young prospects, rival franchises actively target their pathways. The Tigers cannot keep every rising star they produce under salary cap pressures and squad limits "

This will continue to happen. Schools like Holy Cross, are now focusing on football rather than league, and the AFL is making huge inroads into the South West.

The last article is a PR beat up. It's easy to make up stories after a win.
So where do the Ryde Eastwood hawks play when there home ground TG Milner gets knocked down next year? Obviously not anywhere else Ryde Eastwood
