I’ve said it before and will say it again, we should target Kurt Donohoe on Nov 1 to be future starting lock.

Thanks heaps Balmain Boy, very insightful, hopefully not a waste of a spotHe was definitely sub par this season. His sg ball season was incredibly disappointing, a few times he only had 1-2 runs in the entire match. For a player with big wraps and involved in an NRL preseason, effort is not just desirable, it's mandatory. Sure the play may have targeted the other side of the field a bit, but players who want to dominate let grades go get the ball and make things happen. He just caught a cold waiting for someone to pass him the ball out wide.
You add in his small frame and he will always be Targeted in defence, especially on the goal line. There aren't many forwards in the been his size, which is why we need to be patient with him. He needs to fill out and learn how to use his skill set. He still has potential but he needs to command the ball and want to be the difference maker that he was when playing 16 year olds.
He showed glimpses, but every club has talented juniors who are busting their asses. He's busy spending time running coaching tutorials with kids and on insta, but doesn't seem to apply the same determination to his own game.
It's a huge offseason for him and I'm hopeful he rips in!
He's not top 30 either, unless someone upgraded him mid season. But given his form, upgrading him would have been practically impossible for any professional club. Thanks heaps Balmain Boy, very insightful, hopefully not a waste of a spot
He’s a gunI’ve said it before and will say it again, we should target Kurt Donohoe on Nov 1 to be future starting lock.
Is he short or is he a bit skinny? Maybe he’s more suited to centre than edge and there he won’t be targeted as badHe was definitely sub par this season. He was very good tonight.I’ve said it before and will say it again, we should target Kurt Donohoe on Nov 1 to be future starting lock.
What sort of player are you referring to?Gosh he cops it on here but I reckon there is a player in Mason. We seem to forget just how young some of these players are.
Or 5/8 or hooker.I’ve said it before and will say it again, we should target Kurt Donohoe on Nov 1 to be future starting lock.
Sounds likeThanks heaps Balmain Boy, very insightful, hopefully not a waste of a spot
Lock?Or 5/8 or hooker.
He should definitely be our number 1 target, but I’d say he will be the number 1 target for quite a few clubs.
How would you knowWe do not have a system at the club. That's the first issue. Everything is just off the cuff, there is no planning or strategy involved.
Tell us how you do,,,How would you know

Pretty sure he is signed until the end of 28. But agree.I’ve said it before and will say it again, we should target Kurt Donohoe on Nov 1 to be future starting lock.

I will point out to you that we had a 3-year deal with Christchurch 2004-2006, specifically to play the Warriors, we won 2/3 games.lets throw away another home game advantage, magic round and a game in new zealand hosting warriors no less
this club has no idea honestly
Who is paying the bills for a QLD side to fly to NZ?Is it primarily about money …or trying to hide some bad crowds next year ?
Sending the Warriors game to NZ is a terrible idea … I possibly could entertain like the Titans or Cowboys game which typically gets played at LO..
Seems to be a decent and modest sort of guy from what I've seen of him as well as being talented.I’ve said it before and will say it again, we should target Kurt Donohoe on Nov 1 to be future starting lock.
I don't think he's physically capable, no offence to him. Too small, not notably fast or evasive. Hasn't shown particularly good hands or a kicking game.I'm told Heath Mason is a product of a disjointed Wests Tigers pathways system.
With no consistent fundamentals or club-wide style of play, he arrived in first grade underprepared, and the coaches had to spend time fixing problems that should never have reached the NRL. He's a talented kid and there's still a place for him at the club. He just needs some work.
warriors in new zealand is an advantage to warriorsI will point out to you that we had a 3-year deal with Christchurch 2004-2006, specifically to play the Warriors, we won 2/3 games.
Is anyone proposing that right now, Season 2027, Campbelltown and Parramatta Stadium are clear home ground advantages compared to 1 home match in New Zealand?
