Its not even about JAC really. While I think JAC is much better, It could have been anyone but Rankin, who is an abysmal winger in every way.

He isn't reliable at all. As was discussed earlier in this thread, he makes about as many errors as JAC per game and he has let in numerous tries as well. Where is the longterm upside in playing a reserve grade utility on the wing for us, when we have a much better winger available to help us...

Professionally speaking mate. Not sentimentally here. The club really hasn't done much for him/to try to keep him. He's been a bit undervalued.
