Yeah, different styles and eras, plus, as I turn 60 in December cannot judge Raper, nor Coote who finished up before my 10th birthday properly. Still, despite being from the Balmain side of WT, he certainly beats Pearce for starters.
Plus, and whilst in no position to judge the Wigan title, I don't see him winning the big one here without either Sam Burgess and Reece Walsh respectively.
Maguire can obviously coach, though he also wears thin quickly like 40 grade paper for many. Maybe he has been able to somewhat change his...
I have only watched this match in spits and spurts, but apart from missing a conversion, Reece Walsh has been amazing for just about every minute that I have seen.
Very similar latitude to me up at the top of the Central Coast of NSW, so I understand your issue, but thankfully we get to change our clocks twice a year.
I don't disagree, though wearing the 8, 10, or 13, they are all middles that spend a good part of their match time at marker or "A" defenders, and often provide a mixture in attack. Basically just a number on their backs.
It just makes so much sense. Especially around the summer solstice and Xmas break, else it would be bright sunshine at 4:30am or so. Plus the kids get to play later during the long school holidays.
Said it before and I'll say it again. Our WT, particularly the forward pack, started to lose it the night that Ben limped off Parramatta stadium. There has been a lack of authority in the middle since.
He gave our middle some real starch during his time with us and think that he only missed one...
