I don't think its a strictly tactical decision. The storm can poach other players easy as.

    1989 Grand Final

That GF actually my earliest memory. (I was 3 years old.) I can remember all the other kids were kicked out of the house for the day while my Dad and my uncle watched the game. Being the youngest I was allowed to stay, so to speak. I can still remember the colors on the TV.

    Madge

Boy this aged well. Hahahaha. He turned it around that's for sure. Broncos were a moments team this season, and I was impressed that the senior players approached him around the time of this post, and just told him to chill out, and that he listened. Madge has had two great teams built for...

Mate, I'm absolutely stoked. It's the best start to a season in the clubs 147 years.

2025 finishing 13th on the ladder. Pass or Fail fro season 2025?

It depends on what happens next year... what gets carried on. Like, our first match against the Knights this year..., we were clearly a team that didn't know how we are going to win games. There was not much in our game or shape that was carried over from 2024. It felt like a new team. We...

This feels like a double whammy of overrating Laurie and underrating Mason. 6 years between and 75 first grade games between em dude.

Meanwhile in the Championship THE MIGHTY BORO REMAIN UNBEATEN!! We have just signed David Strelec who scored Slovakia's winning goal against Germany, (and put Rudiger on his bum), and setup the other goal.

Reflecting on the 2025 NRL Season

What a Season. Typical Wests Tigers. Quite an achievement to improve while alongside all that internal drama with Galvin and Moses acting the way they did. Benji gets a pass mark. The tyres really need to grip the road from the get go next year there is no more conjecture over 'he needs more...

    Thoughts on NRL Season 2026

Basically if we can be as good as this season, minus any galvin-esq turbulence or injuries, we'll go well. Especially if Taylan May kicks on. I don't expect us to be red hot every round, but certainly no more 6+ game losing streaks in a season. Please.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

This is a very Wests Tigers conundrum. Like, weirdly, sure we have only made the finals 3 times, but each of those times we were in the Top 4 and were as good as any team in the comp. Our team in 2010 took both grand finalists to the absolute limit. We won in 2005 and in 2011 we choked after...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Just watched it, I'm with you on this topic. I don't see that as bad journalism at all. It's not a facetious question. It's not a wind up. It's not even on the richter scale of some of the garbage Benji has had to contend with all season. Des just looked fed up and finished, checked out, and...

    Penrith resting players

I can see this too. I think there are some rules in the EPL with regards to fielding a competitive side, esp in regards to Relegation matches. I would hate for a scenario where we would have made the 8 but the Panthers fielded their reserve team against a team that was also vying for the finals...

$50 Million reason Wests Tigers are prepared to quit Campbelltown.

That's a joke. Richo has settled soft on that one. I don't know how those changes really makes the ground a modern fit for purpose sporting venue. It's a real shame.

Nothing was forced on him. I just absolutely disagree with this narrative that we took this amazing player and made him crap. He never took his own game to the next level. He just hasn't got the personality to be a top footy player. He has zero vision for what's happening in a match. Struggles...

He was screwed over but he was massively overpaid and an absolute coach killer leaking and talking to board members etc. I feel like he always played it both ways a bit. It should have never happened tho, was an absolutely idiotic decision employing Jason Taylor.

$50 Million reason Wests Tigers are prepared to quit Campbelltown.

I just hope they build a big ass main stand at Campbelltown. It's whats missing. They screwed that up with the last big rebuild in the late 90s. Just build what is needed for corporates and wet weather and the players. The rest is fine and can be added on later. If you have one big superb stand...

Hmm. I'm not sure he was backstabbed the first time around. He dismantled and unstabilized the team (that he'd spent 5 years out of the finals building) too quickly. He also declined to move upstairs into a GM of football, forced the club to sack him and took us to court over unpaid wages. 2nd...

Some great perspectives here. Does anyone know precisely why he left the club under so much acrimony in 2023? I mean I know he was frustrated at Warren McDonnell leaving for Fulton. But I dunno, look at the attitudes of Galvin and DaSilva. I think it can't be strictly about junior development...
