Another week and Matty continues with his run 20 wins in a row now and yet again wins another title. He is in hot form right now.
Good week for Aussies with Dellavedova, Delaney and O’Connell winning titles.
Injuries, roster depth and players giving up will cost us this season.
We can live in hope of some players coming back and a magical turn around but I don’t see it as we enter the hardest part of our draw to end the season.
Our thumpings have cost us big time on F&A which means we have to...
Wouldn’t be surprised if his shoulder is a concern, noticed as he hits into the line he tries to enter with his right side instead of left which is what he normally does. A 50% fit Bula is better than any other option we have.
Well done to Alex, best game of the season.
He did what a forward needs to do on both ends, that should be his game plan every week. Run hard and straight.
Now it’s up to him to be consistent at this level.
Hate saying this but he is better than anyone we have on the bench this week regardless of being inconsistent.
Would only sign him for this season not multi years if was even an option.
The bigger questions are:
- will we have energy and intensity from the kick off
- can we stick to a game plan and do the basics
- can we show resilience for more than 5 tackles
- will benji be smarter on his rotations without moving half the squad into other roles around the middle that...
Our energy & focus levels from the kick off are terrible. If we hold the ball and do the basics well we will get opportunities. Latu could last 25-30mins if that happens especially with some stoppages.
If we don’t he will be gassed at the 15min mark, he isn’t getting regular game time...
He owes us zero loyalty. Injuries happen.
Most of his injuries are because he was played out of his halves position and with next to no reserve grade / development time in the forwards.
We made him the $$ offer for a kid yet to have played a NRL game. That’s on us not Latu.
If he isn’t...
I don’t understand how we are helping ourselves or Latu’s development. He isn’t getting any time in his position that could be a NRL 10yr+ starter in.
Credit to him for turning up and having a dig but he is far better than how we play him currently.
And yet we are still getting thumped like years gone by.
Benji may bring out the best in our top 13 together but something is very wrong on the next line of players.
Benji can’t do it all but he is accountable to ensure the staff around him do perform, right now it’s clear to say they aren’t...
Respect is earned not built on media fluff pieces.
All the great work the side started with is gone and totally undone by how we have handled things the last few weeks. We aren’t even competitive. We haven’t learnt anything and we aren’t better.
We don’t play as a team, we have no leadership...
If he is the best we can do on a train and trial deal at 37/38 & hasn’t played the game for 16yrs of so - it says alot about what this club focus is & skill sets in the talent positions of the club.
Last 6 weeks = nope, all the great work at the start of the season is gone. We don’t have an NRL level squad and no sign of that improving on the horizon.
This happened at the Storm game also.
All this talk at the start of the year about no corners cut, we are a connected, tough and resilient team - pre game players are walking around by themselves, do things half paced and maybe 1-2 reps. The coaching staff needs a kick up the backside.
