‘It’s the truth’: compelling new WT doco

Any chance that this whole season , was designed too have us get hammered around the middle of the season , blow up and almost fall apart , only for us to rise and make a run toward the semis to close out the season ?
Would be pretty compelling TV . Just putting my conspiracy hat on .
Also has any team that’s ever been followed by a TV crew been any good ? Or is that the point , and like a car crash , that’s exactly where the producers look for a story ?
Tottenham , Sunderland , hard knocks etc.

Thompson is garbage mate . No way . And Vaughan is Tamou . A great front rower from a few years ago . Do you even watch the dogs . Thier forwards do not go forward . It is literally the reason the lose , as thier backs are pretty good , and on par with most of at least the bottom 8 teams .

Mate Thompson is not garbage. I’d advise you to watch the games more closely. And Vaughan is a million time better than Tamou. In his last game he ran for >250 metres. It would take Tamou 5 games to get to that number.

I do watch . He’s not good for the money they’re paying him. Tamou ran for 150 this week . I don’t see it sorry . You just hate on this team so much , you talk up the wooden spooners . It’s crazy to me . But whatever . For a game changing front rower he doesn’t seem to change , or even influence any games front I’ve seen . He’s definitely not better than Uto , and I rate Joffa higher . If Mika can sort his defence out , he’s better as well . So yea I don’t see it .

While I liked it, it was a bit too much of a YouTube reactions video for me. I would have liked to have seen more in-depth look at training leading into the game, looking at video sessions etc. Maybe the hard discussions between a player and coach. It was a little too focused on gameday for me. I was hoping for a little more gritty like NFL Hard Knocks.

They couldn’t really give to much away tbh ..
That might change in future episodes?

Been watching Simon Dwyer for a long time now and you just don’t see any reaction from him.

Love the guy but don't see his or Badgers purpose in the box

Dwyer deserves his place in the after have his very promising career taken from him giving his all for Wests Tigers and we should never forget that his tackle on JWH should be etched in every WT'S mind.

It doesn't buy him forever. I'm unsure why he is in the box on game day that is all.

He's a very good stats man and provides information to Madge straight of the computer he doesn't need to be jumping up and down like a lunatic his job is to provide stats

So all the top clubs have a stats mam who is essential to the game day operations in the box yeah?

- total embarassment of a doco
- justin pascoe is a dropkick - fair dinkum.... ive met him several times and even that surprised me.
- i feel for madge - its like he is on his own at this club. no support, no professionalism from anyone else leading the way, players are average with no spirit.
- we suck.
- here' hoping sheens, hastings and gildart provide some spark because otherwise we're buggered.

No . Not at all . The team thats 4 points behind the 15th place team , is garbage . And they’re because thier overpaid front rower is not as good as you make out .
It all starts with the forwards . They bought TPJ to propel them forward , but he’s not the guy to do that . He’s the guy to provide strike to a good pack needing something extra . Like the tigers or the knights .
The dogs struggle to break half way every set .

They don’t build enough pressure through their collisions to even be in most games . Where as we don’t build enough to compete with the top teams .

The Dogs are garbage man but I’m not talking about this year. Next year they’re getting Burton, JAC, TPJ and Vaughan who all would walk into our team. And contrary to what you’re saying, Thompson is quality. Wait until next year when he’s got someone half decent next to him.

I thought that doco didnt show much of anything, or not anything unknown at least. Yeah, Madge is passionate but who didnt know that? It doesnt show if he has/hasn't got the tactical nous. (I personally think the only difference between the best and worst first grade coaches are the players and support staff).
It didn't show attitude, or a lack of it, from players or the coach addressing this. There was the perfect opportunity too as well with BJ getting dropped before the Knights game.
People complaining about the (lack of) assistants' input. We were only shown reactions to moments in the game. Assistants do their chat during the run of play. X is gassed, Y isn't working from marker, Z isn't using his lead runner.
Players weren't talking. Weren't they or was it just not shown because the focus was Madge/Fans/Pascoe/Ronnie Palmer that week?
It was an okay watch, but hardly a look 'inside' the club.

They should ask for an advanced screening for Sheens over in the UK so he can get up to speed of the first 16 rounds before he gets here. I’m sure it will help him with where we are at.

It’s pretty obvious what Harry Grant meant when he mentioned the difference between the two coaches.
Madge is very clearly invested in the club and the playing group and you can’t fault his energy but just in that first hour I saw a coach that seems more intent with being a father figure and ‘nurturing his players into first graders instead of champions’ I know some of the players look disinterested’ but I just don’t see the presence and equally the respect.
He clearly needs some help with his assistants but he seems too buddy buddy for a professional team but with our blasé CEO the way this season has played out is not surprising me.

To me it's more damaging on the players. The players are really given everything they need to succeed it's on them to buy in, they never have the energy needed to win, they need to get their act together play for the club and coach

So far Kent's words a ringing true WT have too many players that are just happy to be first graders we need to fix that first and foremost

I wish we had those players coming next year... but no... our management bungled JAC and TPJ ... I mean why would TPJ want to come here after we wrote to the media saying "we are going in a different direction" and "he's not for us" and then two weeks later Madge writes in an article that we want him... cmon guys... absolute garbage performance off the field... like it is on it.

However I am still hopeful and delusional about us making the 8 this year hahahah🙂
