That or getting overpowered in a new game by monster packs ...wonder if the game will come full circle again ....

But the team was already overpowered by big packs 2005. I guess the teams with the big packs improved from that year to the next but the Tigers were at the same disadvantage in 2005. They just managed to keep at it and keep everyone on the park.

After the run of the attacking teams to finals in 04 and 05, primarily the Tigers and the Cowboys the interpretation around the play the ball changed. Teams were allowed to slow down the ruck a lot more which led to the development of the wrestling techniques and Melbourne's dominance of the game. The argument was that the game was too quick leading to a lot of dummy half running. That argument had a point when you look at how we used a 2 punch dummy half attack of Farah and Dene. We didn't cope well with that chnage.

We lost a few games in last gasp situations ...Manly ....Titans and Knights from memory ......

Marshall did his shoulder v the Cows Rd 4 from memory

Liam Fulton did his shoulder Rd 1..it was all downhill from there..

Not a great look, though Madge knew what was up in his defence, but unfortunately was a shipwreck in slow motion with coaching staff on the field not relaying or obeying the message

the snippet looked good Madge was yelling at Snoopy Collins to get out and stop the game, that was game 1, maybe Madge is surrounded by incompetence in his ranks after seeing that.

This is where your wingers and centres need to get a message to your captain quickly. Message shouldn’t have to come from coach to trainer to ref. Lack of communication on the field did not surprise me.
