1/4 Chicken & Chips says we have Boof in 2010

Sure, the odds of Laffranchi returning are somewhat long, but if he did, I'd suspect he'd be moving into the front row arena!

Would you off load Payten or Gibbs for Laffranchi if a Super League club came knocking?

I'd let Payten go for him but not Gibbs.

 Bryce wouldn't get a visa….......

Don't think Todd would ask for a third release unless it was for much more coin.....that ship has sailed......young family now.....

Anyhow with Fulton back Payto off the bench sounds about right.......

I wouldn't release Gibbs for boof, one is a prop (albiet a very average one) and the other is a back rower. Payten however, is a back rower like Boof, a perfect swap.

Payton is a Loyal Tiger - as far as i am concerned he should be given as long as he wants.

He will walk away when he knows its time.

I have never seen Bryce gibbs dominate ever…. he is the major disapointment for me...

Easy decision -

Ps - Not sure we really need Laffranchi.

i believe he is just as good in the front row as the second row, and if cayless becomes another o'hara i believe he would be a great pick up and would imagine he would be cheaper now then if we had to wait till the end of his contract to try get him back to concord.

Former Cronulla star GREG BIRD is meeting with Gold Coast Titans boss MICHAEL SEARLE today to discuss his NRL future.

Reportedly still considering a $500,000 two year deal with French-based Super League club Les Catalans, BIRD and his manager are interested to hear what the Titans can offer.

SEARLE says Gold Coast will only be able to offer BIRD a match payments' deal with their salary cap almost maxed out.

But with North Queensland and Brisbane dropping off, the Titans could get a cheap signing if BIRD opts to reject the big-money offer from Catalans for an NRL redemption.

no more on the boof front? not sure the club will want to pay what his manager would ask. But i think we do need another prop or second rower…

will they come from the juniors or another purchase?

my worries:
Payton and cayless getting old,
gibbs suspended half the year.
lord of the rangas - fully recovered?
fulton? ? ?
which leaves solid Ellis (tops) and Heighnington (a bit quiet at times last season) and of course Farrah ...

Controversial star GREG BIRD is returning to the NRL after signing a one-year deal with Gold Coast.

The Titans have announced that BIRD has agreed to a one year contract with three one-year options, in a deal approved by the NRL.

BIRD returns to the league after successfully appealing a court conviction for recklessly wounding his girlfriend.

He spent the last season with Les Catalans in France after being cut loose by Cronulla but rejected an new offer from the Super League club to join the Titans.

I think there is a chance the rumour could come true.

u do know props dont get good till mid 20s right ?
cayless and galloway are always injured as well
and topou a winger lol

well i think galloways injurys have hurt us, but in hindsight, if different actions were taking the period off the field would of been allot shorter…, cayless i cant comment on, but yeah it has been well documented that he has been injured over the last couple of yrs... but that doesnt allways mean there finished.......
topou is the biggest man in the squad and will be in the pack this yr... he is very experienced and i believe he will be very capable...
and for the kids well they have potential.... and they wont get any better protecting them in lower grades... we dont need them to be dominent players this yr or the next, just to be able to fill the void when our main boys r having a breather...., galloway was brought to the club at 21, and i think the tigers have moulded him brillantly over the yrs.. and im sure they will do with the next crop...

Agree Here, We need to do what the Eels have done this year with Tim Mannah, Comes on for Fui around 20 Min mark and subs of again around 55 minute mark.

However, i think we can only afford to do this with ONE young forward per season.
