1,6,7,9

I know its hard when you have injuries but I think its important for a team to keep there 1,6,7,9 consistant and not make too many changes. At the moment we have no regular fullback and looks like we also dont have a fulltime halfback.
If we can get some regularity into our spine then we will be much better for it.

1\. Mckinnon, 6\. Benji, 7\. Lui, 9\. Farah
If only two of them can stay fit. Its obvious? I know.

Totally agree Sab, we need to keep these positions consistent as they are the key positions in every football team, they are your playmakers.

Now that Lui is back, and looking good, I think it would be fair to leave him at half-back, play Moltzen at full-back until Mckinnon is back, and when Mckinnon comes back, put him straight to full-back.

I just don't know whether Moltzen has done enough to retain a starting position, he has been good in patches but is lacking consistency. 1,6,7,9 should look like this:

1\. Mckinnon

6\. Marshall
7\. Lui

9\. Farah

This was the combination for the first three rounds in which we won 2 out of 3\. It was looking threatening as well until Lui was injured. This combo will win games.

I think we saw it against the Broncos.

1\. Moltzen
6\. Benji
7\. Lui
9\. Farah

Moltzen will improve, Farah to stop taking the wrong option, Benji to get more involved and Lui to learn to defend and then we have the best 1,6,7 & 9 combo in the league.

Everyone Fit I think it is obvious
McKinnon
Marshall
Lui
Farah

With Moltzen at 14

Just a little side note if we get McKinnon back and the others stay fit - then perhaps we should look at Moltzen playing hooker for a few weeks for Farah to get the treatment and rest he deserves

Mayby start with Fulton and bring on Moltzen - I love Robbie and even injured he is one of the better hookers in the comp but I want to see him fit and firing for both ourselves and for him

That is a good quote.

the problem we have at fullback is that our best option mckinnon is hampered by hamstring issues. it seems to be a chronic problem with him. i reckon they should punt him, its a pity but no use having a busted player on the roster when he misses so many games.

as for the 7 spot, i was so against lui getting the nod but he has grown a lot over the past couple of seasons. its a shame moltzen got injured when he did last year but lui has proven he can make it at 7\. as for moltzen, where do u put him? i dont think fullback is his position either, so where do u put him? who knows sheens will find a spot for him somewhere im sure much to peoples displeasure.

Good idea he could alternate with Fulton in the position

Sheens knows we cannot win the competition with a slow pedestrian fullback such as McKinnon hence the reason he`s persisting with someone with attacking flair such as Moltzen at the back.
I`m not sure if Moltzen is going to make the necessary improvements to make a good fullback as he cannot play fullback if he doesn`t attack the high ball and run the ball back hard, but if Moltzen doesn`t work at the back it has to be either Jake Mullaney or Mitch Brown, we cannot possibly win the competition with a slow boring fullback such as Wade McKinnon. McKinnon tries hard, but that doesn`t cut the mustard as a NRL fullback these days, you need an excitement machine at the back.
If you don`t believe me, take a look at who is playing fullback for the other 15 NRL clubs, they are all far superior attacking players to what Wade McKinnon is!

As I said Moltzen might not make it but it is worth the risk. Yes we will lose games because of him but we persist with Farah at 9 - why because Farah at 9 can be one of the best players in the comp. Moltzen is similar.

With respect a bit slow maybe, but Wade is far from boring.

Also i think he is a wonderful support player and we have quite a few cooks as it is.

Teams such as the Dragons, Storm, Broncos & Bulldogs will be shaking in their boots knowing they might have Wade McKinnon to deal with.
Please, give us someone at the back who is going to worry them, not someone they are going to laugh about!

what exactly would have them laughing?
the word 'groin'. i am confused.
