1,6,7,AND 9

Early days (pre 2005) we had attacking centres that defensively struggled. Was until the Elford and Paul Whatuira, that I felt confident we weren't going to get smoked through the centres. And since then we haven't been to bad out wide. Centre would have to be the hardest position to defend in. Once Moses does make it to 5/8 and creates space for our centres the backline attack will be great. However we will need centres that are very solid defensively to help cover our young halves. If Austin has these skills, centre might be the only backline position for him with the full strength spine. I agree with Happy in that he will need time in NSW Cup.

Austin has looked good at Hooker because he has come on at the end of the half. Even by his own admission he is an inconsistent player.
When he gets to the stage where he is an 80min player you could put him anywhere and he will kill it.
If we can keep our current team we'll definitely be going places. Keith/Fulton/Anasta/Richards will retire within the next 2 odd years and we have replacements galore coming through.

I love the thought of Austin at hooker. Perfect replacement for Farah if he can stick around that long. Until then, definately think he should be our 6\. But I've never given any thought to him being a 3 or 4\. Could be a mouth watering proposition - I like it.

Even though it's a while off I am more concerned with the next contract negotiations for Brooks, Moses and Tedesco

Austin at center could be very exciting. I dont want to lost the talent, but fitting him in is the problem.

Simona has been good on the right, and Chris has been strong, but not game winning.

I think it is best to say Austin would get the dreaded Utility tag

The secret to success over the next 5 years will be the development of Brooks and Moses… We will get at least 2 more years from Robbie before we really need to identify what style of 9 we need to compliment our Halves.

I've always felt Cherrington is coming through at he right time, and if he is patient, he will get his chance. Depending how dominant Brooks and Moses become, Robbie may be suitable to service them for up to another 3-4 years?

Nothing will change if we don't develop/buy quality Forwards though... If we keep Brown and develop the likes of Logue, Ravkin & M Woods, the future is looking great!

No he won't, Potter rates him. Brown knows he is in NSW Cup to get his fitness to NRL standard.
