I'm pretty suprised with Melbourne's odds. When you look at some of the experience they're losing, especially in that foward pack and also losing some pretty handy players in the backs as well, I wouldn't have them $9, I think they'll struggle to make the eight, let alone win the comp.

Agree with most that Souths are a myth. Seriously, $9? Been the same story every year since Crowe bought them. The biggest surprise for me is Easts as second favourites, surely they jest? A team that seriously exposed by Saints in the GF? The Broncos too are very short, with a coach that won't last the season and a new centre that looks as though he's bought a pie shop. I'll be having some of that $11 thank u very much…..Parra will improve with a couple of troublemakers gone and Canberra, even without Campese are way long at $21.......

I share your opinion there. It's generally pretty common though that by getting to the GF and suffering no real change in structure the following season that the runners up will get short odds. That said, the Cocks would have easily been bundled out in the first week if the refs were of any decent standard. They're not premiership material, they overachieved last year and will be my pick to chuck a Bulldogs 2010.

Souths boosted by Inglis 9 into 7 and conversely Broncos 9 to 15.

Drags have gone backwards slightly but will still be mega consistent (or wooden if U prefer the adjective).

I think the odds are on the money except Melb who have also thinned a bit with the loss of a few players

Tigers are a real shot if they improve their discipline and have the same no7.

As my much as I hate to say it I do think Souths will make some sort of run in the finals next year without winning it of coarse. For mine the best value is coming from the warriors @ $15\. I don't see dragons as any kind of threat and firmly believe Melbourne will not make the 8.
