'11 premiership market

I think $11.00 is worth a bet. Tigers surely must be a force if Marshall continues into 2011 uninjured, Moltzen comes back at 7, and Farah mixes it up . The issue will be if our young forwards become a force in 2011\. I'm feeling positive.
Other teams…who cares what their odds are. Souffs -phhht.

Tigers have suddenly jumped to $8 on TAB, equal with Easts.

Any ideas why?

The James Graham rumour is getting louder around the traps - and the bookies are renowned for their nervousness…

Marshall's 4 Nations performance may have also played a role.. as well as Lui now being more of a possibility of contributing in 2011 than when the original odds were posted.

Just possible suggestions kul....

i don't think it's that marshall factor… TAB gets updated very regularly and WT have been on $11 for weeks now before suddenly dropping a few hours ago.

PLEASE be Graham *fingers, toes, arms, legs, everything crossed*

Do we know if its WT only chasing or others as well??

I think you will find Benji's heroics in the recent four nation series would be the main contributing factor for any surges in our betting price. Most scribes rate him no1 player in the world, as for the Grahame thing, very long odds he will be in the stable in 2011 although 2012 is a different matter

The fact that the St Helens boss has come out yesterday and called for the ESL to stop the player-drain to Australia makes it evident he will not be releasing Graham for 2011!

But given he is yet to lose a player to that alleged player-drain - it also makes it pretty clear that Graham will be in the NRL and we are the favourites to snare him!

Current sportsbet odds

WT have now firmed in another dollar to $7, Souths have come in from $7 to $6 (though that may now change with todays NRL decision about the Inglis contract), the Bulldogs have also firmed from $13 to $11.

Melbourne $11 to $13, Brisbane $15 to $21, Titans $17 to $21, Manly $17 to $21 and Parramatta $17 to $26 have all eased in the market (or with Parramatta you might say blown in the market)

ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA 5.50
SOUTH SYDNEY 6.00
WESTS TIGERS 7.00
SYDNEY ROOSTERS 8.00
BULLDOGS 11.00
MELBOURNE 13.00
NZ WARRIORS 15.00
PENRITH 17.00
BRISBANE 21.00
GOLD COAST 21.00
MANLY 21.00
CANBERRA 21.00
PARRAMATTA 26.00
NEWCASTLE 26.00
NORTH QUEENSLAND 51.00
CRONULLA 67.00

Bulldogs at $11 surprises me. They've a lot of changes in key positions and don't deserve such low odds over teams like NZ and even Melbourne.

Tigers to firm to $1.06 after the opening round :stuck_out_tongue:

meanwhile, have you ever seen anything like this before:

Winning Party - Next NSW State Election - WINNER
COALITION 1.04
AUSTRALIAN LABOR PARTY 10.00

I still can't get over South being at such short odds, Inglis or not…... no halves... they won't win a premiership...

Warriors are good money odds I think... No idea how NQ are further out than Sharks either....

I have a hunch that the horsies and raiders will shorten after the first five rounds and penriff, souffs will blow out.

Wow. I don't think Phar Lap would have even got those odds running out at Scone in a G3.

Federal Labour are heading the same way with their inept stance on boat people and the all new Carbon tax they're commited to giving us.

Any way - I wonder how well the Tigers will go when the are expected to win games in 2011\. We have always liked being underdogs

**ONE punter appears to have a massive wrap on Parramatta's new signings Chris Hicks and Paul Whatuira, placing a $2000 bet at $26 on the weekend on the club to take out the 2011 NRL premiership.\
\
The optimistic punter stands to collect a whopping $52,000 if Nathan Hindmarsh, Jarryd Hayne and the stuttering Eels can reproduce their late-season form from 2009.**

Kiss that Money good Bye mate

I have slowly been accruing some bets on the Tiges to win the comp over the last couple of months. I got them at $10 on Thursday. Not sure why they have dropped to $8 in the last day. If the news about TNT is true, then we might drift out a few dollars.

The last time we were sub-$10 to win the comp at the start of the year was 2006\. Let's pray we do better in 2011 than we did in 2006.

Im a betting Numpty - Are we quoting the one source throughout the thread???

I heard yest on AM radio that souffs were 2nd favourites
