I don't call last night a choke. We lost to a side who was literally better in every position on the field. Yes we played poorly, but we have overachieved this year. No other coach in the NRL would have got us into the Top 8.

2000 was also a choke. We were first at the halfway point, then needed to win 2 of our last 4, with games against the struggling Cowboys, Bulldogs and lost all 4.

2007 was the biggest choke of all.

The topic title is missing 07\. That last round loss against the Knights was another classic Tigers finals choke.

Wasn’t that a 24-12 lead and that winger can’t even think of his name, we made him look like the greatest winger ever ? Farah missed the end of year should have won daily m that year if he didn’t but overrated channel 9 love god Thurston got it.

Yea! cause Thurston was such a dud player.

Warriors lost to dogs, we would be 2 points out of the 8, we just didn't turn up, as we always do in must win games

I have said numerous times, Lamb may have been a bad coach, but Pearce was also a dud, should never have gone with him in the first year, he was a 35% win coach when we hired him, we got what we deserved.
And as a Wests supporter, I would not have gave it to Tommy either, a neutral coach should have been appointed

I agree. It was massively disappointing, but the guys looked to me as if they could score at any moment in the first 20 mins - they just couldn't hold the ball.
And to be fare, the Saints defence was good.
Had a couple of those opportunities stuck, who knows.
Not a choke in my book.
