2005 - A Hindrance

Since that grand final win we have been the darlings of the media/Ch9 and the players and staff know it. They have been given this aura that they are the most entertaining, tough, star studded side in the NRL and it has been a detriment.

They have zero mongrel and the sooner there is a mass cleanout the better. The only positive I can take out of this year is that for the first time since 1985 I haven't spent once cent going to watch these fools.

Anyone that rushes out and buys a membership for next year has more money than sense.

I agree. Since 2005 we aim for premierships, not finals.

We win 2 games, and people start talking about how we are a chance at the premiership. We win a few games and people start saying "I smell a premiership". We are struggling to make the 8 and Sheens/Marshall talk about how "if we get there, we can do anything".

IN 05, we took it week by week , noone really ever talked about winning a premiership to grand final week.

Its not 9/the media….its Sheens

I'd never want 05 to be anything different

Its the whole club. Its Sheens, the FANS and the players. Whether you want to put that directly on Sheens then yeah maybe. But the fans are just as bad. Midway through the season I remember a thread called "we can still be minor premiers"….like seriously, come on.

The players also like to turn any question into how they can beat anyone, and are a chance at the title.
