Sorry guys, a but off topic but was Lote the first ever West Tiger to score a try for Australia? I dont think Robbie scored a try last year in the Four Nations or Prince scored a try when playing for Australia and Wests Tigers

Second… Scott Prince got a Try against France in 2005

Aaah… damn Prince, I thought I found something interesting but he had to ruin it

New Zealand coach Stephen Kearney has named a full-strength line-up for the Kiwis' Four Nations Test with Australia on Saturday.

Despite the result not having an effect on the tournament, with both sides having already qaulified for the final, Kearney is keen to show the Kiwis are able to challenge Australia.

"We don't go along with any talk of this being a dead rubber. It's a Test against Australia and this is also a really important occasion for the game in our country with the match being played at Eden Park."

"Every Test we play is extremely important to us, especially when we have the chance to test ourselves against Australia."

Experienced forwards Adam Blair and Frank Pritchard return to the side after missing the 76-12 thumping of Papua New Guinea.

Youngster Ben Matulino also returns, winning a spot alongside Pritchard on the bench, with Sam McKendry and Jared Waerea Hargreaves the unlucky ones to drop out.

New Zealand

Lance Hohaia, Jason Nightingale, Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Junior Sa'u, Sam Perrett, **Benji Marshall (captain)**, Nathan Fien, Frank Paul Nuuausala, Thomas Leuluai, Adam Blair, Sika Manu, Simon Mannering, Jeremy Smith. Int: Issac Luke, Greg Eastwood, Frank Pritchard, Ben Matulino. 18th man: Bronson Harrison.

Comparing players in each position there are very few Kiwis that you would take before the corresponding Aussie HOWEVER that's one hell of a side.

Big and Balanced and then there's Benji….

And they're pretty fast as well. They'll give us a pretty good game. Wouldn't be surprised if they win.

Australia has major dramas within the Backrow, Halves and 3/4 line…

New Zealand will hurt us in the Final if they get through this weekend injury free...

Australia needs to Drop

Lockyer, Tate, Tonga, Thaiday, Civoniceva, Myles also Replace Gronk with Carney and Smith with Farah

Then we might have a chance …

The Coach will get Dropped before they all get dropped…

After Carney winning some award last night, I won't be suprised if he plays Halfback this week and Cronk is dropped…

If that happens, Sheens will need to keep his 9 & 6 on the field this week, so hopefully Robbie gets Gidleys bench spot.

Australian team to take on the Kiwis this weekend:

1\. Boyd
2\. Morris
3\. Tate
4\. Lawrence
5\. Tuqiri
6\. Carney
7\. Cronk
8\. Scott
9\. Smith
10\. Shillington
11\. Bird
12\. Thaiday
13\. Gallen

14\. Young
15\. Civoniceva
16\. TLL
17\. Farah

Bit of a weird squad … but congratulations to Chris Lawrence on making his debut and Robbie Farah for getting another call up.

Yay, finally Chrissy makes the team! :wahoo:

Three Wests Tigers players in the Australian team, that's a first! Good one boys, congrats!

Top effort!
Although in the terrorgraph gidley is listed on a 5 man bench.

Yep sorry, my bad. NRL website had the same thing, just forgot to add him on because I think he's useless & overrated haha.

Yeah it's great, but I must admit, it feels a bit hollow. Everywhere I read, it seems that the majority of the RL public believes they are only there because of Sheens' influence. I just wish our guys could gain some respect and be recognised for their obvious talents, without Tim having to 'push their barrows', so to speak. As someone mentioned on another thread, they probably wouldn't have even been selected, in the first place, if Sheens wasn't the coach - and, unfortunately, that is probably true.
