Please Note that Winsdor, Newtown ,Cronulla & Wests all have had 1 draw, which the Ladder doesn't indicate

Ahh I am thinking about last week with 2 draws in the one day. My bad.

I was at Henson but trying to prepare tunnel vision and audio for the forthcoming barrage of Newtown songs

After 5 rounds the table is as follows.

Newtown have had a bit of a rails run so far this season. Round 6 will see them play away from Henson Park for the first time this season

That arrangement was for last year only. This season every side is under the Canterbury Bankstown banner and the Bulls revert back to Bundy Red Cup

Well Round 9 this Saturday, sees the top of the table teams , Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers go head to head ,with the Mighty Western Suburbs..... the winner getting the spoils, and the loser probadly dropping to 3rd.

BRET have played their worst games against the bottom 3 teams in the comp, a problem that Coach Fletcher has noticed. I expect the Balmain boys to come out firing, and put in a mighty effort, but still believe the Magpies will be way too strong at Fortress Campbelltown.

Wests' weakness over the last few years have been their defence. They haven't had trouble scoring tries. Now Wests' defence is the best in the NSW Cup.

Both sides still travelling well.

BRET have best defence and f/a atm.

Two tough matches for the feeder sides again this weekend away from home against the other two sides in the top 4

The Melbourne rotation policy to get a bunch of NRL players NSW Cup game time continues again this weekend with Ryan Tandy, Hep Cahill & Dane Chisholm all named to play in the NSW Cup squad this weekend.

Dogs belted the Vulcans 54 - 0 today meaning they are now one point in front of the Tigers making Monday a must win to keep our one win buffer leading into Wests next week and the Dogs the week after

Interesting to see that Western Suburbs have the equal best defence in the competition even though they haven't been going all that well lately.
