2011 milestones

Now that the season is virtually under way, I started wondering…What milestones will Wests Tigers achieve in 2011?

Looking at **games played**:
* Skando's record of 185 games is safe for this year. Heighington is next on 155.
* Farah (currently on 143 games), Payten (139), Gibbs (135) and Marshall (130) should all make it to 150 games.
* Fulton (95), Lawrence (90) and Galloway (82) should all make it to 100 games.

Looking at **points scored**:
* Marshall (629 points scored) may overtake Hodgson (786) for points scored if he keeps the goal kicking duties
* Farah (196) is one try short of 200 (for those who can't do the maths...)
* Fulton (96) is likewise one try short of 100
* Marshall (53 tries scored) and Lawrence (50) will likely fight it out for leading all-time try scorer. Farah is next on 40.

We currently have a **total** of 5987 **points scored**, so I would certainly hope our 6000th will come up on Monday night.

If we make it to the finals, we will play our **300th game** as a club. We are currently on 275.

I'd dearly love us to break 2 other droughts this season:
* finally making it to 1st on the ladder
* finally keeping another team scoreless

Anyone else care to add to the list of targets?

* Farah (196) is one try short of 200 (for those who can't do the maths…)

hahaha classic...

...so wouldnt we play our 300th game in round 25.... not in the finals ??...

No, those 2 will do just fine. How good would that be?

We will Break the 50 Mark for different jerseys worn since the merger.

Just joking….. Would like to know though how many different ones we have worn?

One more milestone. I just saw the headline that Sheens is about to coach his 200th game for the Wests Tigers on Monday. How time flies!

Or 4 field goals hope he gets try though
No big blow out loses Can deal with losing just get cranky when we get blown away and we seem to throw towel

I didn't realise we had never done that!

i know we had some big wins vs the dogs (54-2 twice if i'm not mistaken) and was pretty sure we'd held **_somebody_** to zero, but wow, thats a complete shock!

Okay, now that 2011 is done and dusted (for us, anyway), what were we able to tick off during the year?

Looking at **games played**:
* Farah, Payten, Gibbs and Marshall all made it to 150 games.
* Fulton and Galloway made it to 100 games. Lawrence was left stranded on 99.
* Wests Tigers played their 300th game in week 1 of the finals

Looking at **points scored**:
* Marshall (840) overtook Hodgson (786) for points scored
* Farah (227) and Lawrence (226) went past 200
* Fulton (116) went past 100

Looking at **tries scored**:
* Marshall (66) has streaked ahead of Lawrence (55)

Marshall's 211 points for the season was the 3rd best for an individual, behind Hodgson in 2005 (308) and Joel Caine in 2000 (224 from 26 games).

Farah was the only player to score a hat-trick. Gibbs never was able to add to his career tally of 1.

2011 was our 6th best season in attack, scoring 519 points at an average of 21.6 during the regular season. Losing our left hand attack for a fair chunk of the season did not help.

However, 2011 was by far our best defensive year to date, conceding only 430 points at an average of 17.9\. Our previous best was 2009 where we conceded 483 at 20.1.

And I am still waiting for us to end our droughts of:
* finally making it to 1st on the ladder
* finally keeping another team scoreless

Ah, so he has. I was getting confused. I remembered he hadn't scored a try since the 2005 GF, didn't remember he scored a couple before that…
