Nnamdi Asomugha gotten by the Eagles and picking up Vince Young from the Titans
Cant wait for the season
that was a huge surprise when they got nnamdi.
was hoping he wanted to stay in the bay area and go to san fran.
49ers started out slow and got some good value that strengthened the team this week.
can't believe i will be watching the 49ers first pre season game this friday night.
Hey Bon as a massive Cincinnati fan im interested to know what you think of our 2 free agency pick ups from the 49ers in Manny Lawson and Nate Clements.
Lawson seems dependable rather than spectacular but im happy with that.
Im not sure about Clements though, as usual Mike Brown screwed up by not offering enough to Johnathan Joseph so he walked off to Houston and we had to scramble and sign Clements to replace him. Now i just cant get excited about Clements as i think he is a downgrade on a player like Joseph. Please tell me im wrong and clements will exceed my expectations.
Anyway it looks like this year will be a struggle for the Bengals AGAIN, but im really excited as i cant wait to see AJ Green playing in stripes. Just hope our O-line can block well enough to give Dalton enough time to get the ball to him.
Anyone got a pre season prediction for superbowl combatants?
For the NFC its hard to go past the Packers and Eagles who both look like being powerhouses this year but i always like to go against the favs so i will lean to whoever wins the South. Should probably be New Orleans especially as they look stronger in the running game with Mark Ingram but i would love to see Tampa Bay win as Josh Freeman is one of my favorite non bengals players and i have always had a soft spot for them since first watching them play in the 80s with their bright orange outfits and horrible performances.
As for the AFC well once again i find myself falling into the trap of thinking San Diego will finally take the next step. With Vincent Jackson getting what he wants and back to concentrating on football i can see Rivers shredding opposing teams. Also expecting Ryan Mathews to have a breakout season as long as he stays injury free. Usual suspects in Patriots, Jets, Ravens and Steelers to be the biggest dangers. Always dangerous writing off Peyton Manning but i can see the Colts sliding this year.
