Yes black and white may not be 'exciting' in colours but the point of the jersey is what it represents - the history and tradition of wests magpies. A once a year black and white jersey doe not hinder the Very strong Tigers brand or hinder the success of WT in any way. The gold/orange will always be there in WT including the balmain heritage games.

There is a reason why the most popular jersey worn by fans on the Hill at Leichhardt Oval is an old (original or retro) Balmain Tigers jersey. Just look at every photo of the LO Hill crowd to see what I mean.
Similarly there is a real good reason why the old Wests fans are entitled to be annoyed at the relative lack of Wests heritage strips.
I for one think ALL the Wests Tigers jerseys look crap. That's why I an yet to wear or buy one. I for one would like to see the WTs wear only the heritage jerseys.

I'd definitely be keen to get my hands on both of the heritage strips. Work seems to be kinder on that than wearing a "current" strip in on the odd casual friday we get.

As Bob Fulton once said on 2GB about this whole issue.
"I can't understand why it is so hard. Surely the decision is play in Tigers strip at LO and a Wests strip at C'Town then everyone is happy problem solved"

I think black and white make for great jumpers. It's the best contrast. Usually looks good no matter what the design.

Why are we the only joint venture club that has issues with jumpers and silly arguments about wests and balmain you don't hear anyone from the dragons or steelers whinging or complaining Bout there stuff . Personally I don't see why we can't use the heritage jerseys all the time or go back to the ones we had when we first came together , or have one with white black and orange hoops

I spoke with a different league and legends retailer today, he made a phone call and guaranteed me they will be on sale to the public in 2 weeks. I have my doubts but.

Personal opinion is that we have been around long enough as a club where no Heritage Jerseys should be put on sale.

I like the players playing in the jerseys for a heritage round as it is an appropriate nod to the past.

I think WT jerseys should be all that is sold though and in fact bring back the double header jersey as our own heritage strip and have that on sale.

I agree on both accounts.
I have 22 Weststiger jerseys ,3 framed.enough is enough.

Don't need to watch it; I lived it. Spent the game in the SFS Corporate Box for an event as part of my Pinnacle Membership.

Great night…...crap jersey. (just my opinion and I believe I am entitled to it)

I'm a bit with Ink on this one …. I'd like to see the retro jumper be the same one we wore in the year 2000.
Even to see them play in the premiship winning jumper from 2005 would be great.

Playing all regular rounds in intermittent heritage strips eventually strips WT of their independent identity.

Interchange the heritage rounds once a year between WT-Souths (Balmain) and WT-Manly (Wests.) IMO we've given up plenty as two clubs for the NRL to meet a small scheduling commitment to accommodate us. Every other game have a purely independent home and away WT jersey with adequate representation of all of our colours.

Jerseys used throughout the year should always be available for purchase. Avid collectors and fans attracted to the design should always be afforded the opportunity to put their hard earned to own a little piece of WT history.
