Next Saturday Night Manchester's Old Trafford Stadium hosts the ESL's finest hour when the Warrington Wolves hopefully with Brett Hodgson back at fullback taking on the Wigan Warriors who feature a returning Tiger in Pat Richards.
Minor Premiers the Huddersfield Giants suffered back to back losses to end what should have been a pretty decent season following a loss to Last seasons runners up while the Challenge Cup winners Wigan have stepped up another notch with a clinical defeat of the defending Premiers the Leeds Rhinos.
A number of players from both teams will be playing their final matches for their clubs but I wish Josh Charnely would try his luck down under along with Lee Mossop and Sam Tompkins, Adrian Morley is on the move to a resurgent Salford 'Red Devils' but where will Brett Hodgson end up after being informed by the Wolves that he isn't part of their 2014 plans.

Actually heard that Hodgo will probably end up at Salford also
 
Why would Warrington want to move Hodgson on? I know he's getting on but nothing I've seen or heard indicates he is playing any less than top quality footy for them.

Wire have a very old team. If they don't move a few this year, they face having half the team retire next year. They can use Ratchford at FB next year but they will have problems when Briers (35) Michael Monaghan (33) and Mickey Higham (33) go. If they don't win the GF this year I think they will have to go back to a 3-5-year rebuilding job.
 
Yesterday Pomgolian time the Championship & the Championship 1 Grand Finals were played and in the Division directly below Super League the former Challenge Cup winners and former SL club before amalgating the Sheffield Eagles went back to back Premiers with a 19-12 win over the Batley Bulldogs, with the ESL comp looking at relegating 2 sides for 2015 is there a possiblility that Sheffield could once again meet the criteria?.
Championship 1 saw the Rochdale Hornets run out comfortable winners over the Oldham Roughyeds 32-18, I'm pretty sure these teams don't gain promotion as they were placed 3rd & 4th while the 2 sides above them were promoted.
It's amazing that our ancestors can watch all our games live but in this day and age all we get to see is 2 delayed games per week and we see nothing of their lower grades, shameful stuff.
So who are we going to be cheering for in the decider, we have Telstra Cup Premiership winners on both sides, is it the old favourite Brett Hodgson for Warrington or the Prodigal son in Pat Richards for Wigan, stay tuned!.
 
Wigan Warriors prevailed as the 2013 Tetley's Super League Champions after a torrid opening spell to over come the Warrington Wolves late in the match 30-16, unfortunately for Warrington the former Wests Tigers fullback Brett Hodgson failed to take his place but another Grand Final Hero Pat Richards marked his farewell in spectacular fashion.
Warrington started the game in great form but some brutal defence from Wigan saw them lose key players as the match progressed, while I missed the opening minutes of the game I did see Stefan Ratchford taken out in a very bad Cannonball tackle by Harrison Hansen.
Missing Key players the Wolves were run down in the end by the Warriors with Pat Richards scoring the match winning try, Richards a Premiership winner in the NRL with the Wests Tigers has had a Stellar career at Wigan over the last 9 seasons and returns to the Wests Tigers having won every available award in the ESL in his Super League Career.
Blake Green a half back with stints at Parramatta and Cronulla was awarded the Player of the Match.
Wigan Warriors 30 Darrell Goulding, Michael McIllorum, Josh Charnley, Blake Green & Pat Richards tries, Richards 5 goals.
Warrington Wolves 16 Joel Monaghan, Simon Grix & Ben Westwood tries, Stefan Ratchford 2 Goals
