WESTS TIGERS 2013 NRL TRAINING SQUAD
Blake Ayshford, Braith Anasta, Matthew Bell, Adam Blair, Jack Buchanan, Robbie Farah, Mosese Fotuiaka, Liam Fulton, Keith Galloway, Matthew Groat, Masada Iosefa, Marika Koroibete, Chris Lawrence, Benji Marshall, Jacob Miller, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Sean Meaney, Tim Moltzen, Taqele Naiyaravaro, David Nufoaluma, Eddy Pettybourne, Joel Reddy, Ava Seumanufagai, Tim Simona, Curtis Sironen, Shaun Spence, Jesse Sue, James Tedesco, Bodene Thompson, Lote Tuqiri, Matt Utai, Aaron Woods.

The following NYC players will train with the Wests Tigers NRL squad till Christmas: Kurtis Rowe, Mitchell Moses, Luke Brooks, Brendan Santi, Andrew Vela, Kyle Lovett, Nathan Brown, Manaia Cherrington.

First question- does anyone know what date we have to trim the training squad down to 25 players?
Second question- how does playing someone outside the official top 25 effect the salary cap if injuries hit?

Without having seen some of the NSW Cup players play before, it's not as easy as you would think to honestly cut seven players with how Teddy proved last pre-season that anything's possible. you would think it will be the toughest pre-season the players have had in a while with a new coach, new players trying to impress & the appointed of Hayden Knowles.

I think sometime in January the squad may be cut down to 25 players, don't quote me on that though.

the 32 players named will be a combo of the 25 top teir and 7 second teir contracted players. those 32 will remain training throughout the year together obviously circumstances change with certain players training schedules or if they would benefit from training in reserve grade full time.

the seven i would take out to make the top 25 would be buchanan, ava, spence, simona, sue, taqele and meaney. the rest would be in the 25 imo.

the second teir players have a seperate cap of around 250k i believe so depending on what their contracts are worth affects that they would have signons and bonuses with match payments most likely. you can have as many players as you want on second teir contracts but cant go over the cap.
