So what players from what teams should we be keeping an eye out for this year?
Perhaps you know a local making their debut this year, who do you think will be impressive this year?

@ the tigers, I think it's quite obvious **Luke Brooks** is the man to watch this year. With such a magical debut, he's definitely something special. Will be looking forward to seeing him carve up this year. Also the likes of Tim Simona, Koro, Nofo, Sirro & Sue - should be good seeing them having a crack too. Also keen to see Gavet have a go along with the new kids Taupau, Patterson & **Blake Austin** - who I personally believe will seize the opportunity and show all the big wigs at Penrith what they missed out on.

@ the broncos, I was looking forward to seeing **Jordan Kahu** have a go but that might have to wait. Should be interesting to see how Ben Barba goes up there though.

My local team @ the knights - keep an eye out for a young lad named Joseph Tapine - had a killer game in the trials against the goannas. If he gets a call up, he'll be one to watch. Defo a future star.

@ the eels - Kaysa Pritchard & Kelepi Tanginoa

@ the rabbitohs - young guns Luke Keary & Dylan Walker.

@ Manly, Michael Chee-Kam - looks the goods for sure.

i have to admit i dont really care about the other teams.

for the tigers, definitely luke brooks, but i think tedesco is going to star this year, along with curtis sirronen possibly giving origin a nudge if the tigers have a good first part of the season.

as for an "out of the blue" player (from an outside perspective) it is looking like blake austin could be a player other supporters would be asking where he came from….

Gavet. Just a hunch, but am hoping that along with Tapau, they can give us some immediate and much needed mongrel in our pack. Sue showed a little late in the season, and with Brown also soon pushing for selection, we are potentially looking a lot better on this front.

We need the opposition looking out the corner of their eyes again, as we have not been able to do since Ellis was here. Simon Dwyer also instilled a little fear and would have given us that edge had injury not taken him out.

I agree that Teddy will step up this year. He was starting to show a lot of class at the back end of 2013.

I've been a fan of the Austin signing all along, and from what I saw in the trial highlights package, it's warranted. He will be putting a lot of pressure on Anasta for that #6 jersey… Or even is a good alternative should Brooks not find his feet straight away.

On the other side of the equation, I will be watching BMM closely this year. It's make or break time for him. We've signed a few extra forwards this year, and those that debuted last year - Ava, Sue, Buchanan etc, didn't disappoint.

Bodene… Interesting, the coach has always had big wraps on him, and he was injured for almost 2 years before he came to us... Hope he kills it.

There's plenty at our club, but the one I am most excited to watch will be Blake Austin. I work with a bloke who is a close friend of his family and by all accounts his attitude is in the right place and he wants to make the first team no matter what it takes.

Most Penriff fans are spewing he left and before he got injured he looked like he had a bright future in front of him there. Has the talent to be a great running five-eighth and has a decent kicking game himself it will be great to see if he gets an opportunity to play alongside Brooks and have two halves who decent kicking and passing games for a change.

I want to see Tedesco get more involved in attack this year as well. Looked good at the back last year with his defense and kick returns, just needs to develop his support game more. Seeing as Potter was a fullback himself, it will be interesting if Teddy develops rapidly under his guidance.

As for other clubs, I suppose Barba at Brisbane will be interesting, Widdop at the Dragons and whether Milford continues to grow at Canberra, despite obviously not wanting to be there.
