Geo's got a point. Wouldn't the Broncs be concerned that Bennett stays for a year then comes to us possibly taking certain players with him (TPJ for example) - and what about their issues of recruitment for 2020?? By signing Bennett for 2020 aren't we sort of doing to the Broncos just what the Panthers are doing to us - painting us into a corner that makes keeping our coach untenable??
The difference might be that Bennett actually wants to stay at the Broncos and most of the fans and players probably want him to stay as well!

But suppose I can also live with Maguire.
Just get it done to stop this never ending story ….. please.
Oh and yes, like most, I was a fan of Cleary and what he brought to the club but very disappointed how he played this out.
In the end bad karma catches up with people and he will ultimately regret what he has done. Burt down his reputation for what? **To coach his son and work for a man who sacked him. Really? WOW! Unbelievable!**

Would not be surprised if 10 mill was put on the table for both of them.

I'm all for signing Bennett for 2019 and hope it happens but if we were only able to get him in 2020 isn't that the same as the riff signing Cleary for 2021 when he is off contract…

Different scenario the Broncos don’t want Wayne. They just don’t want to be seen pushing him out whilst contracted or paying him out. They know the dangers TPJ and Oates are both switching to Wayne’s manager. Bellamy is managed by the same manager hence he outplayed them in this war at the broncos. TPJ and Oates will follow Wayne out the door I believe others may follow.

The Broncos already announced Bennett would be gone in 2020\. A lot different to us with our coach walking out, mid contract.

Bennett outweighs Maguire in every facet imo. The only thing Maguire has going for him over Wayne is we can get him in 2019\. Does not match up to What Bennett would bring in 2020.

I agree with that, Bennett is clearly the better option. Its not much of a contest.
