Im waiting for Ivan to return from his holiday….and says to the WTs 'Im staying,Im honouring my contract'

A supercomputer somewhere in the world just burst into flames trying to calculate the odds of that happening.

With what??.we’d need Donald Trumps coffers to get him here,
I repeat , He wants a pension and more importantly a goodbye Premiership.
Unless Harry ( you remember Harry, the poor mans Nick Politis)
Opens up his wallett and buys him , forget that daydream, that won’t be happening , at least in the near future,

Ok
Which available coaching jobs are going to give Wayne a goodbye premiership ?

Doesnt Siebold come off contract at the end of next season? For one
And why does it depend on someone being off contract
There’s heaps here that are dead sure Cleary and Bennett are going to break contracts next year, why stop there.
Actually the one that’s likely to give him a premiership present is any of the clubs that are Better than we look like being, unless there’s a lot of changes.

So Wayne will sign with Souths because they’ll give him a goodbye premiership .

Fair enough .

I think that could be a very likely result , if Siebold is on the move after next season,
Although, I doubt that he’ll , get a premiership there ,next Season.
But he might think he can

He’s already said that, to the players,

So you're saying that Cleary will be here in 2019 and 2020 then?

who knows? find out next time on west tigers drama

Who really knows Avo,the club hasnt given anything official,so that means everything else is speculation atm…when Ivan returns I reckon there will be plenty of pressos coming our way,and I have no clue which way things will go..we are only voicing our opinions as Iam with my post...

How would I know.?
All I’ve heard is that he’s told the players that he is going to honour his contract here
A bit like Bennett is going to be at the Broncos next season, according to him,

The funny thing is that both Bennett and Ivan CAN move from their respective clubs and still not be in Breach of their contract

i feel like i've missed something here btw

has cleary already signed for penrith in 2021? has there been a confirmation about it?

Not officially, but the media seems pretty consistent/insistent that it is happening.

I assume Penrith are waiting for final confirmation whether or not Tigers would release Ivan early. No need to to rush an announcement for 2021 and it then forces Panthers to make a comment about Ciraldo and his future, which potentially Penrith haven't finalised yet (i.e. precisely who will be coaching Penrith in 2019-2020).

Penrith don't want to come out and announce Ivan, the announce some grand plan for an interim coach with Ivan taking over 2021, then revise the second statement that Ivan's coming straight away (and bad luck to whomever the interim coach was to be).

Nope… It's still speculation as of this minute

I reckon he's next to no chance of being here in '19 and absolutely no chance of being here in '20\. But i could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

I've lost track of who can or can't walk without breaking contract, but it's starting to look like a Mexican standoff for money. If the Broncos or Tigers sack a coach early it will cost them, if they tell them they are free to go they gain nothing, but if they sell or trade they can possibly finish in front. The only real winner I see here is Gus Gould, because he never wanted Ivan in the first place and now he has Nathan, couldn't give a toss either way. He can just sit back and watch the fun, or sign whoever he pleases. Ivan's been played big time. The only way he should ever have agreed to go to the Panthers should have been if Gould wasn't there, or at least if he had no control over him.

Cheers mate, but there are still some who beleive this is all a beat up, and Ivan will be here next year

I’ve long been a Cleary fan and if this scenario didn’t play out would have liked him to stay long term. It’s simply untenable under any circumstances. He has gone behind the board, CEO and GMs back. Trust is broken blind Freddy could see he has to be moved on.

I was a Cleary fan too, but I can see he can not coach here in 2019 under any cicumstances, so we need a coach for 2019, so we tell Bennett to come in 2019 or we sign Maguire who will, who knows what could happen next year if bennett stays at the Bronco's, we need a coach now.

If we sign Madge, Bennett might not have an options in 2020, and that might force his hand a bit.

I mentioned this the other day, but people said Bennett will never be short of options, I am not so sure. I think Pascoe is doing what you say, more or less telling Wayne you are our first choice, but you need to come now, or we will be forced to sign Maguire.
Well that is my guess anyway

If we had to choose between coaching drama issues or salary cap issues, i would choose the third option winning a premiership

More like find out never! This is worse than any of longest running soap operas that go on for years without end. The constant speculation has become a bore. Someone just bloody do something!

You would think that Madge would be on the shortlist for Broncos and as he rejected Manly and is still unsigned for 2019 maybe that is the best chance for Bennett coming to us in 2019\. Madge to Broncos, Bennett to Wests and Cleary to Penrith in 2019.

Also, I read somewhere on the forum that West Tigers management preferred Bennett but Wests Ashfield preferred Madge. You would think that Wests Ashfield would have a big influence on the coaching decision given they basically own West Tigers.

Let's hope the Wests Ashfield mail is wrong.

It would be ridiculous to sign Maguire over Bennett under any circumstances.

A club that has made the finals 3 times in 18 seasons needs a shift in culture. Bennett brings that.

I think we have all got used to WT board/management making horrendous decisions so if we brush Bennett it would be extremely disappointing but would not at all surprise.

If Bennett publically announces he is Tigers bound in 2020 it is an absolute certainty Broncos will clean out his desk immediately.

I would say that is close to the mark
