2021 Grand Final discussion Souths v Panthers

I'm not a fan of either team but it would be icing on the cake to see Ivan lose another grand final. Not convinced the Panthers will make a 3rd straight grand final next year and Souths window will dry up with Wayne moving on.

I'd love to see Penrith lose back to back GF's and Benji deserves to go out a winner, so I guess I'll be cheering Souths (yuck)

I can sort of understand what you are saying about Benji, but he has me in a quandary because he completely lost me after that episode in the Auckland Blues jersey and then the spiel about never being able to play against the Wests Tigers etc, etc.

I must be getting a bit soft in my old age, because come the end of the day, I guess I have to admit that Benji will always be regarded as a Wests Tigers legend and I guess if anyone going around in the Grand Final on Sunday deserves to go out a winner it would be Benji. Pox on the rest of the scum.

Agree. I thank Benji for his efforts in winning in 05 but the way he acted in both the union thing and then recently.... wiped him. Have no feeling either way.

I think Souths by a fair margin. Penrith have had a physical month where Souths have had a fairly easy run. Also Souths attack has been a lot slicker than Riffs and their defence has been good…but as someone posted Sutton usually decides who wins

Not fussed on either team to be honest just hoping for a great game of football. I wouldn’t mind Penrith winning as they have a good young football side however would love to see Ivan lose two in a row. Souths I’m not a fan of at all but wouldn’t mind Benji winning a grand final to finish it off. As much as he has handled both departures poorly and acted like he was bigger than the club he has done a lot of the club and is a good human being.

So draw until the power goes out and a replay arranged for the following week only to be delayed due to Covid with no time to fit the match in no winner is declared.

I feel something Penrith has right now is this win at all cost attitude that Storm had a few years ago. They didn't care about bending or breaking whatever rules to win. They'll try to fake as many injuries as possible.
