Watch benji go around again

Rumours a Qld team wants him for next season

He'll be no use to a struggling club club.

Agree. Depends on what happens to Milford.. could go again with Souths.

Demetrouioeaeaou could be thinking the same. Be a mistake though

Penrith won the game and I backed them. I must say the style of officiating inside the 10 all game, wrestle and high shots with no penalties meant Souths had next to no chance of winning.

The NRL usually picks the winners of good teams. Souths we’re brave tbh they were very hard done by. Golden west was always going to prevail. Eels or Panthers dead set have their own rules.

When NSW can't host their own .. ?

Why is there just a black square?

Deemed idiotic Bossman

Souths did amazing to lose by 2. Cleary's kicking game was unbelievable and won Penrith the game by just giving Souths no field position. If you look at the tackle break stats, Souths were absolutely schooling Penrith in attack but ended up with like 5 tackles inside the Penrith twenty in the entire match.

Actually in the end Penrith were pretty average considering the ball and territory they had and the ruck speed was very one sided. Made a post in the first half echoing your thoughts that it seemed they wanted Penrith to win with the officiating.

Apart from the intercept, really thought Reynolds kicking game was far inferior to Clearys, forced no drop outs, poor kicking in general play and in the end either the sideline conversion or FG needed to go over.
South's probably needed a couple of extra sets in Penrith 20.
That was the difference

Never in doubt. The best team all year. They were decimated during origin which slowed them down but their top form was better than any other teams top form this year.

Penrith never regained their attacking prowess nor composure after Origin.
It seems this was recognised by Ivan and co and they made a mid season switch to go all in on defence.
Nathan’s end of set bombs in the back half of the year seemed more designed to drive the opposition back onto their goal line, if not over it rather than being genuine scoring opportunities, as they were all last year and for the first half of 21.
To win 3/4 finals games against three attack focused squads, whilst scoring only 6 tries is a remarkable effort. It may be some sort of record?

I don’t mind the Comments from our ex Panthers players. I assume most ex players on social media would be sending their congrats.

Yep me neither. He's spend 4 or so years there and wouldve mentored most of the team. Same goes with Laurie. It's quite ok to be happy for them and to show it unless he's playing for the Bunnies.

If latrell plays do Penrith win? I don't think so

I think Penrith receive 2 or 3 less set restarts, Souths make more ground on kick returns and probably score enough to win.
He has more likely than not caused his side to miss out on the premiership as many of us predicted when he was suspended.
Hopefully this tough lesson leads to him pulling his head in as his grub plays had become so reckless, they were dangerous.

Penrith were the better team all year. It was all right there for them. Many in the team like Capewell, Martin, Cleary, Luai, To'o, Yeo etc would have had not one but 2 origin series experiences and a grandfinal to learn from within a space of 12 months.

Gotta say though, Souths were very unfortunate with some of the calls and Mitchell missing the game (deservedly). This was such a typical Bennett team performance.

I know this is all about Clearys and Benji etc but this may actually be Bennett's last ever game as a coach. I've been an unabashed supporter of his ever since I saw the episode of ABC Story 10 years ago. Possibly one of the greatest man managers almost any sport has ever seen. The Origin series last year is probably the biggest testament to it.

To round it off, all I want to say is this.. Cleary is a wanker! And he will forever remain one.

I think if latrell is there this game flips on its head entirely the kick returns would of been better the attack would have been a lot different whether he was going himself or drawing in and maybe at the end reyno wouldn't have to kick a 2 point from 40

FRAUD.

Should be sacked by wt as captain and then punted out of the club

For God sake, our captain single handedly congratulated the bloke that screwed our club over. I don't care if played for Penrith, you are with us now, at least act like it. Madge needs to pull this guy in and lay down the law to him. I'm sick of the NRL atm, all the players love each other a little too much. Where's the hatred for the opposition?

South’s were gallant without much ball - they only pressured Cleary once on the last tackle, that was the difference - surely the game plan was to smother Cleary on the last but South’s look too gassed to pull it off after Panthers had so much possession in the first half.

Talking points:

- Walker is not the killer the media talks him up to be, he threw that intercept pass that cost them the game. They've backed the wrong horse in keeping him over Renno. He's 31 and hot headed. No good.

- Souths window is closed. Losing Renno and Wayne is huge. Few years of heartache ahead.

- Souths young talent coming through is going to be great to watch develope. Taaf, Ilias and the Greek hooker... special. Keen to see more of them.

- Benji? Such an impact on the game last night... lolllll literally contributed nothing. Sad sights really.

- don't like Penrith. They've found ways to cheat and get away with it. They deserved the win over Souths, I don't mind.

- I really hope we talk to Spencer Leniu. He deserves better than what Penrith is doing for his career. Cmon down son.

- James Tamou. Embarrassment. Should be moved on immediately, his heart isn't in it, for us. Shameful.

- Latrell, good job. Letting everyone down as always.
