Well if you’re having a real shot at it ….. then you have to go to the top shelf of coaches.
Ones that have the high profile / reputation, demand respect, dressing room presence and are good motivators and player manages.
Not many of those sitting around looking for their reputations to be tarnished by the likes of us.
I can only think of couple that are currently available. Not saying that they would take on the job but Mal Meninga, Ricky Stuart and Brad Fittler.
A rung below that would be Niel Henry, Kristian Wolf and Paul Green.
Ones available that have something to prove as motivation for success are Shane Flanagan, Laurie Dailey and Geoff Toorvey.
Gardner although unproven at this level would be ok to give a caretaker role for remainder of the year. But you just couldn’t take a chance like that with what tools we have for him and really hard yakka ahead of him.

While ever that madge is in charge as I've said a thousand times the tigers will never do any good flogged again by the knights and its not going to change anything soon the best thing he can do is pack his bags and pass off his not a coaches asshole

I just feel it’s hard to ignore a quality coach IF we as an org feel it’s time to move Madge on.
I more meant Sheens as a replacement (Short Term).
I know right, but every one seems to have forgotten this bloke, he seems genuine and he is not scared to put a few noses out of joint for the good of the team (Hayne, Thurston), that's why Mal had him as the assistant coach through the Queenslanders golden origin era.

Back to back premierships nothing to sneeze at... hadn't won since 2014 now they've got 3 in a row.

Have no idea if he's suitable for us but I liked what Paul Green did with Cowboys especially in 2017. I think he deserves another shot at an NRL team.
Yuck! He's been awful for a long time. Might as well keep Madge
