I could see him playing like Cook.... but he's better developed in the halves as its his natural position.

Reckon Farah came in the halves...
C'mon Demps, Be positive!! Another Tigers hooker with Lebanese origins... surely you'd be all over it!!

The kid can play but we should be pushing him to become our long term 7 ?

I agree he can play, And he's tough... Not a real big nugget, But a nugget with some ticker...
I don't know where he's best set yet... From what I've seen, He's played 6,7&9....
I think he's still young enough to make a real fist of any of them at this point, And to be fair - I feel we have a spot for him moving forward at either...

Wherever he ends up, I hope he kills it.

Wrote similarly back when the Hodgson rumours were in full swing that my eyes have seen enough of Tannous to be pretty sure that he is a nine.

Even if he wants to play in his preferred role in the halves where he goes alright, his chances of playing NRL remain at hooker for mine, with a KOE ceiling otherwise.

I mean the NRL is desperate for halves as well, just depends what he's better at. Quality Hookers and halves are in short supply

Not being a smartarse (I've never seen him play), what qualities do you think make him a 9 rather than a half?

Physique to start with and recent reports almost certainly confirming such with his supposed "record" results. On that count also refer to your/our recent comments on that of Simpkin, with their short stocky legs that allow a low centre of gravity for strength and more importantly close to the ground for passing off the deck.

He has the smarts and all round kicking skills for a spine member, though for mine they are not at the level that will get him to NRL in the halves. Rather, they will compliment his strength and passing games similarly to that of Farah in creating a great all round game at nine.
