As we head towards the end of Season 2024, I just want to put out a general reminder to everyone, please, to make the off-season as enjoyable as possible.

Please stay on topic. Posts that are off-topic will be deleted. Threads that are hijacked completely will be closed.

Swearing, disguised or otherwise. I know I've slacked off policing this over the end of the season, but please, keep the swearing out of your posts. Posts will not be edited, they will just be deleted.

Politics. Just don't. Please.

Use the "ignore" function. If someone is driving you nuts with inane posts, or baiting you, or name calling, etc, please, Don't Feed the Troll! Put them on ignore and, as my better half says, save yourself some brain damage!

Please remember all the moderators are volunteers. We try our hardest to keep this forum the best around. We all have other commitments in our lives, and we do our best to keep this place interesting and a good place to visit and chat and banter with fellow WT fans.

Thank you for another great footy season.

God bless you Suzie. 100%. Just one clarification. What if the troll makes more sense than the usual contributor?

As a Queensland based wests tigers member - pretty stoked will get to see the wests tigers three times - v the fins, broncos, saints in magic round. Was looking to head to a game in Sydney, flights are horrendous in cost even this far ahead.

Plenty of good match up in Sydney as well (home and away). I’m looking forward to the WTs V Manly games. They are often good games.

Morning. I will be travelling to Sydney for my wife’s bday - daughter wants to go to the zoo, Luna park, opera house. Staying in circular quay. Won’t have a car so I will miss out on Campbelltown home game v warriors. Will head over and watch silver tails v parra at 4 pines. Assuming I can get ferry over to manly? Cab from manly ferry dock to 4 pines ???? Anyone assist I haven’t been to Sydney in 15 years or so.

You can definitely get a ferry to Manly wharf, from where I assume they have cabs, or you could take an Uber. Perhaps there is even a bus, someone with better knowledge of that area might know.

I travel every weekday from Manly to the Quay on the ferry. If you are staying at Circular Quay the ferry is the nicest way to get to Brookie oval. You can get the Govt Ferry to Manly from wharf 3 (sometime wharf 4 depending on the time). Or catch the private Manly fast ferry from wharf 2. It's the same price as the govt ferry and you can buy beers onboard. On both ferries you'll need an Opal card. You can buy these at the Transport Customer Service centre opposite Wharf 5.
The cheapest and fastest way would be to walk up to Wynyard -Carrington St and get the bus direct from there (Stand B) to Brookvale. Not as nice as the ferry but maybe a good option getting back from Brookvale after the game.
I went to the Manly V Parra game last year at Brookie. great atmosphere.
Looking forward to round 17 Tigers Vs Sea Eagles at Brookie

I think you’re better off catching the bus from central though . I’m pretty sure it goes straight past there .
But I’m guessing the ferry ride is the point?
Just saw the post above me . Way more info . Please ignore .

Welc @Tigerbenb

Circular Quay is the place to stay in the City, On the right day the water looks amazing.

Make sure you take your time to walk around the Botanical gardens, Barangaroo and if you can, do the Harbour bridge climb (Not cheap but so worth it) I reckon that would be a great surprise for your wife and Daughter.

Good when we beat their arses
Wasn't it beautiful to see our under strength Wests Tigers side defeat a near full strength Manly 😂 The looks on Brooksy & Turbo's faces were GOLD.

Almost as good as beating Manly was giving Sticky's boys a thumping.
I love Canberra as a city and visit just about every 2nd year BUT I've hated the Raiders with a passion since they took Brandon Pearson (Condon) off the Magpies & because of that freak of nature Brett Mullins.

Loved being at the game on the day it snowed (Raiders vs Magpies). Some of the Raider's fans (a big group of Maoris) were behind me and my then teenage brother in law. They were wearing balaclavas and smoking joints. No one, including the Feds doing the rounds bothered them and they actually shared some friendly banter. It was a day I'll never forget because I had to run the car heater for ten minutes to get the feeling back in my frozen hands. Had enough warm clothing, but didn't have gloves. My jacket had no pockets so I pulled the sleeves over my hands but they still turned purple by the end of the game 😂

It was the first time my man Laloa Milford had ever seen snow - tough loss for the Wests Tigers that day due to the conditions!

The snowball to the back of Sean Garlick's head will always be a highlight!

* 2000 season - it was that loss (when we were the better team) - and the Penrith game where Hoppa did the WWF celebration against the goalposts that cost the team an inaugral finals spot imho.
