2025 finishing 13th on the ladder. Pass or Fail fro season 2025?

Not saying this is a pass for this year but

2023 = 4 wins
2024 = 6 wins
2025 = 9 wins

So statistically we have improved by 50% over the last 2 years or 125% over the 2 year period
That is a steady improvement albeit from an horrendous base line

Yes, I know figures can be used in all different ways to make things look positive or negative, but I actually looked forward to watching them play this year unlike the the last 2

Positives, we avoided the spoon, won 50% more games then last year and we were still in the mix for the 8 until round 25

I would say that realistically some supporters would have taken that at the beginning of the year. If we didn't have Galvingate (which put us back for many weeks) and 2 bad games at the end of the year (Cowgirls and Titans) I would have given it a pass for the season

We were not just wooden spooners - we were 3 times wooden spooners.
Needed a roster overhaul.
Bring in a "main attraction" and more.
Converting a team with no confidence into a team where that changed.
It got better as the year went on.
Sorry we didn't win more but Rome wasn't built in a day.
There's more good times coming.
Thank you Richo.
Thank you Benji.
And the good news - players here now WANT to be here (No #galvoutsallowed)

Pass.

Next year we shouldn't have players like Staines and Naden constantly screwing up in first grade. No Galvin BS disruption.

Started to find the mojo. Definitely a better team in form than Bulldogs at the end of season.

A few more signings next year.

I think must make top 8 next year but this season did the job for me.

Naden had probably his best season for us and by all reports is great with young guys coming thru
Staines had an off day at LO v Titans but other than that hes been solid.
Every team needs these highly experienced depth players.

We need to keep building on what weve achieved the last few years as many have said ....I want more wins than losses next year and a few WWWs and even throw in a WWWW would be a big improvement

Still short on cattle

It depends on what happens next year... what gets carried on.

Like, our first match against the Knights this year..., we were clearly a team that didn't know how we are going to win games. There was not much in our game or shape that was carried over from 2024. It felt like a new team. We sussed it for a bit early on, our game against the Dolphins was fantastic, then Galvin left and then it just took too long settling the noise down and finding out a way to win again. That we could eventually do that was a gutsy result and earned us a modicum of grudging respect, but only with our 3 spoons as the latest benchmark.

Maybe having a more experienced coach or a superior tactician we'd have sussed a few things quicker, but a Justin Holbrook can't recruit like Benji can, and we've needed the recruiting more. We don't get the May brothers and Luai with Madge as our coach. Those additions have been the difference.

But if we turn up next year, and nothing that we seemed to have learned from this year carries over, if we're still fumbling around figuring the big things out -- again, and playing like a team of strangers in the early rounds, than this year was a waste of time, and the coaching is no good. I don't expect us to win every game, I want to see us finessing the foundations we built this year into the finals.
