Large thinks he’s a half. I think Manly look at him as a centre which I agree with. Can live with that one as we have Masi & May locking down the future centre spots.
Conti and Nasser were ones we 100% should’ve kept. Clarke too, he is training the house down at Storm pre season and has really impressed their higher ups. Here’s hoping he jumps Suli Pole so Suli comes here lol

Also, Jope Raque the right winger for the dogs was a Tigers born and bred junior that we lost. The kid is 18 has already played for Fiji in an international. Is a better wing/centre than Makasini and an absolute monster at 6'6. He is SG Ball this year, has scored a heap of tries and played Flegg two years up last year and scored 11 tries.

I think prioritising Wests Magpies junior over these Balmain kids could come back to haunt us. Conti had a blinder, and Jope and Nasser ran for good metres the little time they were on and both scored tries.

Conti went ok in the 2nd half when the Cowboys took all their players off. I wouldn't say he had a blinder at all. Showed more than he has for me in the past though in that 2nd half, so it will be interesting to see if he develops. I have my doubts.

Jope was the most athletic junior ive ever seen. If he didnt want to get tackled he simply didn't. He would only ever run as fast as he had too and fast enough to keep the defender away, never put his foot down. It was funny to watch him just glide and tease oppositions sometimes. Fantastic human too. Always played a year above himself and struggled a lot with confidence and he also lacked that competitive drive. He seems to have got over one that now.
