2026 NSW Blues Team

I think the two most likely are Api & AD. Api as bench hooker and AD as either 6 or 14. Both have been in great form and are both being hyped by the media.

Other long shots that I could see with potential are Twal & Sione. Twal is in career best form and Sione could play a Leniu role on the bench.

Luai will obviously be in the conversation, but I don't think he will make it this year.

Laurie Daley on selection "it'll come down to whoever is playing the best"...

He forgot the footnote "unless you play for the wests tigers".

Do we think any tigers have a genuine chance this year?
I reckon our players should stay well away from Daley's blues team, he doesn't know how to get a team up for a series win with his selections.

Fancy been chosen on debut and get done, how depressing.

Api should be favourite but Dopey Daley will no doubt pick Robson again. Guys like Samuela Fainu, Terrel May and even Alex Twal should be in the mix. We’ve arguably the best performing pack in the comp at the moment. We’ll probably end up with nobody again.

1. Tedesco
2. To'o
3. Mitchell
4. Crichton
5. Graham
6. Cleary
7. Moses
8. Ford
9. Api
10. Yeo
11. Hudson Young
12. Preston
13. Murray

14. AFB
15. Lindsay Smith
16. Olakuatu
17. Watson
18. Edwards
19. Strange

Will probably end up doing 10 different versions of this next few weeks.

I think;
Assuming Haas is out...

1. Edwards
2. Bizza
3. Critta
4. Latrell
5. Marky Mark
6. Moses
7. Cleary
8. AFB
9. Blayke Brailey
10. Ford
11. Hudson Young
12. Jacob Preston
13. Yeo

14. Watson
15. Leinu
16. Barnett
17. Olakautu

I hope Daley doesn't select any WT players.

Given Daley's abilities as a coach, Qld will probably win. Players on the losing SOO team are often flat afterwards, and don't play with the same confidence and zip.

I feel that To'o is a little washed up now. He still makes all the right defensive plays and is generally a safe player, but his days as a big metre-eating tackle buster are over. The only reason you pick him is to finish tries, catch high balls and not make silly defensive misreads. If you have watched Penrith play this year closely, he barely dents the defensive line and he actually kind of gets folded.

In saying that, Darius Boyd was this exact player for years in the QLD dynasty. I guess that's why they get origin and NSW don't 🤷‍♂️

Not many options atm
Turbo, Kiraz... no good.
Even centre options are limited.

I don’t think Luai will be in the conversation at all, he’s done nothing outstanding to deserve it. Moses, Cleary will be there, but I’d pick Strange in the halves if it was up to me. If Daley says they will be selected on form then Sam Fainu should be a shoe in, but we all know he won’t be there.

Better for us, I say. SOO is a crock of shit that has run its time. The premiership is way more important.

looks like injuries are going to have a massive impact on the team....still 4 weeks to go, the only certainty at this stage is that Laurie Daley will select the wrong players and we will lose to Qld. If Stefano is selected again, that will do me, he is not an Origin player....even at his best.

Luai ,API , Sam F , T May , Twally
All playing very well , Luai due to his previous stints , respect , non of the others would let you down

Yeh I'd definitely have Strange, Cleary and Moses way above Luai.

Even Trindall, Hynes, AD, Cody Walker and Fogarty have had better 2 years than Luai at this stage.

I really hope Luai re-gains the 2022/2023 form.
