nice try thru the middle, was it andrews who stepped and sent harward thru. Hayward has a first grader aura abiut him

Only got one eye on it at. Will re-watch tonight and do a report tomorrow but from what I have seen Lachlan Broederlow is looking the goods in the middle on both sides of the ball and I think played the entire 1st half. I've been a big critic of his defence previously but he has saved a try and looked very strong in contact. Wingers Logan Brookes & Tino Tavana look like they belong in open company and my man Max Taotua strong too. Great try inside ball from Matai to Attard who splits the defence, draws the fullback & sends Haywood over. Lovely combo!

A few hard to identify in the 2nd half, must be trialing for a Cup contract. Good to see Max Liles out there. Was that Josese Lanyon at dummy half?

DIdn't see it all.... bits and pieces throughout the game, but I agree it was difficult to work out who was who in the 2nd half. I was thinking the same about Lanyon being the number 15 who came on and played hooker.

Here is my take on our NSW Cup trial on Saturday which featured most of our Development and T&T players including Bunty Afoa playing 70 mins (30 mins on the right edge).

1st half line-up

FB - Attard

Observations:

-Only 2 interchanges all 1st half half for the WM. Afoa replaced Aho who went off after 10 mins with a HIA. Laupepa came on for Luke Jack with about 5 to go in the half.
-Was 2 tries apiece at half time. Thought we had the better of it.
-Best in 1st half: Broederlow, Matai, Afoa, Tavana, Jack...

First trial this week. I would assume not many top 17 players will be named if any. Maybe a forward or 2 if they are a little behind where they should be fitness wise, otherwise I expect state cup players.
